Good fun
Bella Mackie's books are well written (with interesting premises) and great fun. I look forward to her next.

A light hearted thriller with a rather abrupt ending.
Good fun but I struggled with the premise that this was being narrated/written by a dead man. Not as good as HTKYF, in my view but still fun.I found the last chapter a bit odd but I thought the ending was good!

What really happens next?
Great idea for a storyline, everyone wants to know what's next. Never met anyone in real life who could be as awful as this family!

Loved it
She’s done it again! That was a brilliant and really fun read with an unexpected ending, can’t wait for Bella’s next one.

3.5*
I enjoyed the book mainly but not entirely. It has a very strong start, immediately thought the characters were interesting but it wasn’t quite the mystery I’d hoped, I was hoping the characters would all make more sense… (spoiler next)The sleuth… felt like she could/should have been more involved. Her character was really annoying and her motivation didn’t make sense. There was a brief sentence on how she believed her dad to be murdered but no sense whether that was or wasn’t the case. It’s alright though, maybe I was expecting too much. Not read the authors first book but may give it a try.

I think this is Bella’s finest - an excellent and entertaining read! wholly recommend to all - great holiday read!

Not as good as HYKYF but would still recommend
It’s a bit predictable. Lots of cliches that take the piss out of the rich/upper class Brits. Would say that I kept wanting to read it because I wanted to find out who the murderer was, as opposed to because of how well written it is. And the ending is a bit disappointing.

a very clever book
This had me gripped from the first page; awful characters that are great to hate, just waiting for them all to turn on each other and with any luck finish each other off!!
