10/10 - 5 stars!
If you are considering a corded phone, look no further - THIS IS THE ONE! Brilliant phone, well made, stylish and feature packed. We have had several corded phones over the years and this one beats all others. Easy set up/configuration, bought two, one desk based upstairs and wall mounted the other in the kitchen. Very good product with all the features we wanted, caller display (our contract and network supports this feature), call logger so we can see missed calls etc. Highly recommended!

landline phone was a joy to use in this regard
Everything I want in a landline corded phone; Call Log, Clear Display, Missed Call Light Indicator, Phone Book, Speakerphone, Easy-to-use Instruction-Manual.However, the ONE thing that makes this a four-star - rather than a five-star - review is that the call-duration is not indicated on the display until AFTER the call is terminated. My old, now defunct, landline phone was a joy to use in this regard, as it was not possible to speak for 'too long', since the length of time used was clearly indicated as one spoke. A feature with which this phone would be the most aesthetically pleasing and functionally flawless!Perhaps Philips could get one of their brilliant engineers to design M110 2nd Edition, with a call-time feature that is visible as well as ongoing DURING the call....! That would help those who opt to live within their budgets many pounds off their phone bills! Bad news though, for phone companies, whom, no doubt, would love customers to make calls for as long as possible...))Finally, for those who may be EMF-sensitive, this is the solution to their problems. No power required except the tiny (Philips own) batteries in the base unit. The phone-to-base-unit-cord could be a little longer. Instead of including three different-coloured phone-cords; red, black and white in the box, why not have an additional double-length cord? Much better for use around the kitchen while baking!!! <3 <3 <3Thanks to Philips, anyway, for such a gorgeous phone!Zumi Daniel

Good, but not quite as good as it should be.
Very attractive design, but not quite as good as it promises.1. The phone occasionally loses the time and date, and has to be re-entered;2. The Caller ID function doesn't always recognise and remember the number;3. The recent calls and phonebook buttons seem to be reversed compared to the instruction book.Number 1 is an inconvenience, which might be explained by the phone being on a socket some distance away from the Master Socket. Possibly.Number 2 I can live with, because this is only a supplementary phone (which should be available if all other phones are cordless).Number 3 is another inconvenience, but I soon got used to it.Positives? Good sound, comfortable to use, hinged display.

Nice phone
We needed a new phone to have as a back up if the electric would go off. This one looks well on our kitchen wall. The only negative point is the instruction book is in such small print it is almost impossible to read and I have found it difficult to understand.

Sound quality failed under a year.
Bought this in Oct 2017 to replace a previous wall phone when we moved into the house. This was the nicest we could find and was easy to use and looked good. However in a very short space of time (around 8 months) we started to hear crackling/hum on the line. We eventually contacted BT who advised us there were no issues with the line. They advised we tried a different phone. We have purchased a new phone today and as soon as we connected it the line noise was clear, as it should be. So very disappointed in this purchase. Appreciate it was not an expensive phone, but assumed it would last much longer than this.

Modern & unusual phone that works fine in UK
I received the phone today and have set it up easily following the instruction manual written in English. The phone works fine on a UK landline socket so the "05" part of the model number clearly does mean it is suitable for using on the UK network. The phone is slightly bigger than I thought it would be (both length and width) but looks very stylish and classy. My slight negative comments would be that as you talk into the hanset, it seems to amplify your own voice back into teh earpiece making your voice sound loud! Also, as you put the hanset down onto the base unit, the is a momentary high-pitched squeal (microphone feedback?).Overall though, I'm pleased as it is a modern and unusual corded phone to use as a second phone to my main Philips M8881B/05 Dect answer phone.

Love it!
I got this to replace a manky old phone that was beyond cleaning up. I wanted one to attach the wall and keep the kitchen looking tidier. We've just about got the hang of it, but you don't have to use all the options. What I really like is being able to answer the phone without having to pick up the handset, ie by just pressing the speaker button. Especially when it's a junk call. Looks very smart. I tried all three colour cables but the white one seemed to look best.
