I cannot say if this works well with IR, as I bought it for RF. The device has one time, out of 25 attempt, ‘seen’ my RF device. This would make one assume that a full remote control would take several hours of frustration in order for the device to learn. I have the same device as the other person who reviewed the product, at 433.92Hz. It is just not made for purpose. I highly recommend you save yourself the time and trouble.I bought this for a mate… the one I have at home, Tuya, has bad reviews on Amazon, yet performs perfectly for me.Maybe this is just a high faulty rate amongst these items? The all seem to have bad experiences tied to them. Sad, and unfortunate, but someone out there must be able to create a product that just works????

The IR part of the controller worked but the RF part would not work, no matter which of my RF 433.92 MHz remote controllers I tried. My RF remotes are for blinds and Delta brand RF remote control socket.I presume that it's a faulty unit but there's no contact number or email address for support by the manufacturer or seller.Very disappointed.Update Sunday 16th February '25.After a week of installing and uninstalling and re-installing the ir/rf universal controller in smartlife app and pulling my hair out trying to pair my rf socket to the said controller, finally success. I can now control the rf socket with alexa. But the lack of support leaves a lot to be desired. For that reason I'll only give it 3 stars.

Enabled me to easily integrate my RF device(s) to my smart home automation (voice control). Setup was straightforward and no issues encountered with installation or programming individual device controls.
