There are major problems if you are trying to replace an existing tow ball. First off the holes are not large enough to take the tow hitch bolts sold by Amazon. You have to be prepared to drill them out to a larger size.Secondly the holes are narrower than the standard U.K. tow hitch mounting, they can not be enlarged and elongated safely so the mounting will have to be adjusted by fileing the holes.Have had to order more tools so I can do the job.

This item looks cast? It feels very weak. Not as stated in the ad for the item. If it breaks it’ll be catastrophic! Not fitted as it can’t be trusted. I’d welcome a conversation with the seller?

In principle it does the job however there are two issues to be aware of. The mounting holes are not typical towball mounting bolt sizes. These are significantly smaller and accepting an m12 bolt maximum only.This brings up the second issue which is when you try to use M12 bolts to mount it, there is insufficient clearance between the bolt holes and the receiver hitch collar to get a socket on them.I've made it work and it's adequate for the price but not the simple unbolt the existing towball and bolt this on in it's place I was expecting.
