One of the best to add to my collection. Right up to date with Ukraine. Outstanding compilation of wars and significant battles throughout history. With maps and outlines over a thousand pages of warfare. The best I have seen.

I’m a history buff at heart and to see a book like this is awesome. It doesn’t have every single battle but that’s OK. It’s over 1000 pages and goes in very in-depth about the battles that it does show in conflicts. I would recommend this book if you were interested in battles and warfare and strategic that won the battles, it is sort of up-to-date, Ukrainian and Russian conflict so it doesn’t have anything else beyond that

Received as a Christmas gift so I am still exploring this massive work. I am not an expert on world history, but I am being made aware of battles and wars I never heard of or knew existed in other places such as Asia, Africa and South America. Gives a short description of the battles and conflicts that can spark your interest to do further research. Found an error in The American Civil War section, The Battle of Pea Ridge is listed as having taken place in 1861, should be 1862 and In the Vietnam War section Hue is listed in the header as 1969, should be 1968. I would highly recommend this book for all people interested in world military history.
