Belkin DVI splitter cable
I'm using 2-desktops with a single LCD screen. Port detection causes some video issues. When using a single desktop. I pulled the power plug from my Win 7 Core 2 Dou PC and all the issues disappeared. It also messed up my internet browsing. Its a Belkin, that's why I bought it. Port Detection works on a Powered OFF desktop. So, shut down the PSU or pull the power plug.

not impressed
The first one didn't work at all, so i asked for a replacement it.The replacement arrived a day later, which was Great, however; if one of the two monitors is turned off, the second one starts to show distortion lines.I will be returning it.

just from the text only screens you can tell there's some fuzziness and brightness/contract not as great.
I work in a fast food restaurant... Buying equipment for our kitchen display system can be extremely costly, using a VGA splitter to mirror another monitor is cost effective. It works and gets the job done b/c we're only mirroring text. I would not advise if you're displaying a regular computer, just from the text only screens you can tell there's some fuzziness and brightness/contract not as great.
