Junk!
This remote works well enough, but it's a battery hog! Fresh batteries only last about a month, and I'm only using it for about 5min a day when I turn on the TV to go to sleep. Very disappointing - don't waste your money!

A Flawed Successor to a Great Remote
I had the previous version of this remote for quite a while, the only major difference being it didn't have the backlit buttons -- once my dog decided that I shouldn't change away from Animal Planet and ate that one, I picked the new version up (SRP4221B/27).The ergonomics are the same, it's well-formed, and holds well in the hand. The buttons have decent tactile feedback, and the app to program is a nice touch at the ~$20 price point. But it seems they made a design blunder when implementing the backlights in that they don't properly control or regulate them. On fresh batteries, these things are bright enough to be used as a flashlight (I'm not exaggerating here), that unregulated brightness quickly dims with use after about 7 days as the battery drops, getting lower and lower output until the batteries are dead, all within 14 days (that's roughly a few minutes of use per night).I normally get about 6-12 months out of my remote batteries, 14 days is absurd, and I think it comes back to how they implemented the LED's given that they double as an unofficial battery meter as the AA's nominal voltage of 1.5v (x2 = 3.0v) drops off.Another issue I had with the new version is that it had a habit of double-sending commands, so a simple Left would send Left Left. Reprogramming, resetting, and various other troubling-shooting steps didn't work to address the issue. The remote was purchased on 01/01/2024, so it is possible they may have a product revision enter the supply chain that addresses these at some point. But for now, I'd avoid it .. unless you like using batteries and blinding yourself.

Works Good
Update: Dropped to three stars after using a couple more weeks. The buttons sticking is an issue. I still continue to use the remote but just know going in that the buttons might stick which can get annoying.Using with a Samsung TV, Samsung soundbar, and a Roku streaming device. I downloaded the app and it programmed the remote perfectly. Only need one remote now. Extremely easy.Only drawback is that the buttons stick so that is why I took off a star. Sometimes the direction buttons will stick and then the volume can stick as well from what I have experienced.Despite that, still a good option if you need to consolidate down to one remote.

Do not waste your money.
Remote isn’t worth 5 cents. It lasted about 30 days. Look away!!!

I guess... don't bother.
Just bought two of these in a local store. The App is not on play store anymore... it's useless garbage.Should be swell little remote, but the app is gone and their support is insanely slow and not helpful.I'm so tired of US companies being scrapped.
