in one of the reviews it says the bread crumbs are fine and in another it says they are large. could someone tell me are they large or fine

Relatively speaking, compared to fine bread crumbs Panko crumbs are large. Their size is what provides the light, crunchy crust you can never achieve with the fine bread crumbs. You should give whatever you are cooking a light dusting of flour, then a quick dip into a beaten egg bath, followed by a roll in the Panko. Directions are on the package
