Amazing
As a sufferer from osteoporosis arthritis I have been using devices to help me open tricky lids but it takes even a short while to 'set them up' but this rubber disc is there for use and is so simple I couldn't believe how easy and quick it is! Time will tell how durable it is but so far, so very good!

The product does what is advertised
This product was delivered when stated. Hoped it would be a little larger but does the job on most articles.

Ease of opening jars
I bought these to replace two Rubber Jar Grips, which I had been using for decades and finally disintegrated. The old rubber ones had raised spots on them (like pimples) and were much more effective at gripping. These are completely smooth so do not grip nearly as well.

Useful item for the kitchen
Brilliant aid to the kitchen. I manged to open a jar of beetroot with no trouble at all. Would really struggle normally. Great for if you have painful fingers or weak hands. I have arthritis in my fingers and have struggled before I bought this. So simple but effective.

Next to useless
Despite all these great reviews, I find this no better than my bare hands. It's very thin (thin as t-shirt fabric, less thick than heavy denim) and is smooth on both sides - so it neither grips the lid nor gives good grip for holding onto it. The size is good, yes (for any jar up to, say, a large jar of olives), and it's easy to position but that's irrelevant when it doesn't make difficult jars easier on painful hands! I have an old jar grip that's ridged and doesn't sit flat when you put it down (a low cone shape) which is really useful, and I hoped this being flat wouldn't make a difference - I think if made in a grippier material this would be fine, but as it is it's money wasted.I also have a "jar key" that releases the seal and that is WONDERFUL :) but of course takes more space in the drawer. So I'm back to wide rubber bands round the jar and lid, fiddly getting one to stay round the lid but it does at least help!

Durable and easy to use
Great wee item. Makes opening jars, and turning stiff taps on and off much easier. Having bought before, I know they last for years. My old one was just beginning to split, but my confidence in the product encouraged me to buy again.
