Mikasa Italian Countryside 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4

Great & affordable way to get the grandson & new wife some dishes that all match! Keep in mind these are NOT THE MIKASA ITALIAN COUNTRYSIDE FINE CHINA FROM THE 80-90’s and it will not match that- It is a little more ‘cream’ in color and very pretty! The youngsters are THRILLED and I highly recommend this set of dishes! Thanks again Amazon!

Beautiful good quality dishes! Unfortunately though, the pattern and size has changed just slightly over the years and this pattern is no longer an exact match to the old version from 15 years ago. but it’s a great investment if you’re just starting your Italian Countryside collection now!

I love the county style of this set. It reminds me of something you'd find in a Martha Stewart catalog. The style of it is made to look like it's a country stoneware (the thick heavy kind), but it's actually porcelain. In my experience, stoneware is very often prettier and has a more casual homey feel to it, but porcelain is longer lasting (doesn't seem to chip as easily). So this set is the best of both.Not an overly formal or fussy style/pattern at all. But so pretty and it has a bright white finish to it which gives it a very clean appearance. It reminds me of something you'd serve big Sunday morning breakfasts on. Obviously it works for all meals, but the style of the dishes just have a very Sunday-morning-country-style-breakfast look to them. So pretty, and I especially love the mug. The texture and just the feel of it, I find myself always reaching for it to make my morning cup of English Breakfast in it.

I love mikasa dishes!!! I had some green and yellow pastels I bought 15 years ago and I am still missing the option to buy more!!! These are pretty and elegant. I find that the dinner plate and salad bowls are enormous...I think when I order more to match I will just get extra salad plates and some coffee cups.
