Nicely presented
Needles are rather fiddly things to transport and store, but these come in a very useful tube, to keep them safe, as well as everyone in the area. A needle in the foot is NOT much fun. As far as the needles themselves, they appear well made and smooth, the eyes are large enough to be easily threaded, and it's A nice assortment of sizes, although it is geared towards heavier fabric. Very nice.

These needles are much thicker than expected
I bought these needles mainly to use for plastic canvas embroidery and cross stitch on fabric. I was very disappointed to discover how thick the actual needles are. If you've ever bought a plastic canvas kit, the canvas is about 7 holes to the inch. I'm working on one now. The smallest needle in this set just small enough to fit through an empty hole, and once a strand of yarn has been put through that hole it becomes a bit difficult to pass the needle through a 2nd time without damaging the first strand of yarn.As for embroidery on fabric, I can't think of an embroidery fabric that any of these needles could possible be used with - the weave of the fabric would have to be incredibly loose to accommodate needles of this size. And, as for hand sewing, they would most certainly leave visible little holes behind where ever they are passed through the fabric. The one thing that they will be very good for is to use them in seaming together hand knit items. The thickness actually helps here. The very blunt tip is much less likely to split the yarn than a somewhat thinner needle also with a blunt tip would. The different sizes in the needle set will work with a variety of yarn sizes, from a fingering or sock weight yarn to a bulky or chunky yarn and the eye holes are large enough to make it fairly easy to thread them. For thicker yarns just pull the yarn through with a loop of sewing thread.Had I known how thick these needles were before buying them, I would not have bought them, but as it stands I now have a sizable collection of needles for use on hand knits, whether it be seaming, grafting, repairs or something else, I'll have it covered
