Impressive for the price.
If you want a functional and clean looking knife that will last a long time, this is a great buy.I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. It has a nice weight and feel in the hand. I ordered the G10 scales, they feel kinda slick. I wrapped it with athletic tape for a non slip grip. It arrived razor sharp. I love the scandi grind, will make it easy to maintain the edge. I really like the size and blade thickness. The sheath is basic and functional and clean looking. No extras that you don't need.I my opinion it just goes to show that when you by brand name, sometimes your paying for the name, not necessarily the quality. This knife is better than alot of name brands that you have to pay $100 to $200 or more for.

Quality beyond its price
I own a lot of nice knives. I bought this one on a whim after picking up another flissa knife for my sister. The quality on that one was pretty good, so at less than. $20 what could I lose? Nothing! This thing is a beast! I washed it off out of the box and ran it over a strop. It cut through paper like butter. The scandi grind is even and isn't too obtuse for the thickness of the D2 steel. The handle is a good size for my medium size hand, but as with the other knife I bought from Flissa, don't buy if you have large hands. The fitment of the handle scales is one spot where the price point shows its colors. I will do a bit of sanding and perhaps put some adhesive under the scales after I straighten them up. I don't consider the handles to be a deal breaker as long as you can operate sand paper lol. The sheath isn't bad looking and functions well. There isn't a drain hole but one can be put in easy enough. The spine of the knife is great for scraping or striking a ferro rod. If I had to run this order back, I'd have probably sprung for the better scales. I was being cheap. If you are reading this review looking for an entry level bushcrafter, or as a gift for someone that has and intrest in bushcrafting, don't hesitate! Buy it before word gets out and the price triples! I would suggest the upgraded handle though.UPDATE!: I have owned this knife for a few months now and I'm more impressed. As I own a lot of knives, this one was put on yard and garden duty. I've dug out more dandelions and thistles than I care to talk about. It's cut a bunch of aspen. Starts and raspberry vines from last year. Despite being used as a digging took and tree root remover it remained pretty sharp and chip free. I'm updating this review because of what it took to get that chip tip in the picture. The riding lawnmower found a couple lengths of rope hidden in the grass and wound them around the shaft of one of the blades so tight that it killed the engine. There was a loose end, but it was so tight I couldn't unspool it even with an end to grasp. So I grabbed the knife knowing it would ruin it. I was wrong! 45 min of prying against metal or just cutting against metal to work through the current rope, and an older rope that had been there a while. I lost a very small amount of the tip while prying against it, and have one small chip about mid blade from twisting the blade hard against some heavy steel. I put an edge back on it and it will remain the garden knife. The abuse I put it through was far worse than anything I've ever done in the woods, so I have zero complaints about the damage. In fact, just the opposite. Ill be buying a couple more for truck knives! Buy it already!

Good knife for the price, may require some touch ups
I'll admit, when I first received the knife, I was a little disappointed. Out of the box, it was really dirty. Both the blade and handle (I got the wood version) were covered in some kind of dirt or grime that was really stuck on. So much so, that I thought I might've received a used one, and considered returning it.However, once I gave it a real good cleaning with some rubbing alcohol, it looked good as new. I went ahead and stropped the blade real quick as well, and now its super sharp despite having such a thick blade stock. It'll glide through paper like nothing and cuts super thin curls on a stick for some fire tinder. I also added some oil to the handle to give it some shine because it had been kind of dull/unfinished.Overall, I quite like the knife and I'd recommend it as a nice, budget, bushcraft, or camp knife. For 20 bucks, I can't complain too much. It's solid, got decent materials, and it's certainly functional. Just be aware that it may need some cleaning when you get it, but I wouldn't let that dissuade you from buying it.

Awesome and incredible value!
SO awesome. Heavy and feels great in the hand, blade is thick and seems well designed. Haven't cut anything but paper and shaved some arm hair, but I can say it was razor sharp out of the box. Excellent bargain! I'm not a steel nerd, but if this is D2 as advertised and performs as such, will be great to add to the collection. In fact I got several!

Update on Hidden gem...
It's about a week later and I received the micarta handle version yesterday, I am very excited to put it to work. I am so impressed on the value for your money these knives are, I am getting a few more for Christmas gifts. Initially I went with the wood handle to save six bucks, but the micarta is worth the little bit extra. I am the "wannabe backyard blacksmith" and I make my own "mycarta" out of denim and resin for tools and knives, it works well, but for six dollars more than the wood, this is worth getting. Hope you can get your hands on one of these, be safe and have fun.Saw the reviews on You Tube and decided to get the lesser cost wood handled model. WELL WORTH THE MONEY... I have a lot of knives (like so many of us) for all of my outdoor interests, this is by far the best for the money. I received it yesterday and have played with it quite a bit since then, I have started fires, whittled, feather sticked, and carried it on the hip since receiving. I forgot I had it on the belt, it's light yet substantial and still shaving sharp. The grind is perfect, and the size is nice.Fit and finish is not perfect by a long shot, but for twenty bucks, I can overlook minor issues that do not create problems. The sheath is acceptable holding the knife securely. I am going to buy the micarta handle version as soon as I get done typing this review.Exciting time here. If you are let down by these, you may just want to stick to fantasy knives and stay in the living room (LOL, don't be so sensitive). Absolute great for gift giving...
