Inspire Washable Reusable Incontinence Underpad, Oversized 36x72 Inches, White, 1 Count

I'm a new ostomy patient and I've been sleeping on throw away chux in case I spring a leak during the night. Glad I have been because I've woken up twice this last week with just that problem. But throw away chuxs are not the most comfortable. They bunch up easily. Are noisy. They stick to you if you sweat. They get expensive to buy if you go through a lot. They aren't environmentally friendly. And more things I just can't remember at this moment. I've worked in a nursing home for 12 years and now days most of them use only the throw away ones. But they still have some cloth ones for special needs etc. So having experienced both I decided to get myself a few for possible nightly accidents. I sleep with a memory foam body pillow and hug it. So I needed a larger chux to put between my stomach and the pillow. This one is perfect!! I lay it across the bed instead of long ways and it's perfect to lay on one end and wrap the pillow with the other. I also have a pregnancy pillow that I sometimes switch out with my body pillow in case I'm tossing and turning a lot. This chux is long enough I can lay in the middle of it and wrap it on both sides of the pillow! I'd highly suggest this chux. I have not had an accident on it yet. But if/when I do I'll update this review.Update: well it definitely works with urine! My cat got trapped in the bedroom with me one night when I was particularly tired and hard to wake up. She needed the litter box and I didn't wake up until she was trying to bury her pee on my blanket and me! It went through my blankets, nightgown, and onto the chux. It kept my bed and body pillow urine free thank goodness!!! And it washed right out of the chux!

I do not use these as their intended purpose, instead, I use them as oversized puppy pads. They are the perfect size to use them in this manner. They are super absorbent and prevent the floor from being soiled. I have four dogs and I have purchased this product over 20 times to ensure that I have enough. Of course, these are washable and they hold up very well in the washing machine and dryer. The sizes may vary with each pad so don't be surprised if you buy a few and they are not the same size. I have noticed that the more recent purchases of this product has produced bigger ones then when I bought a few years ago.

Many waterproof pads are too small or have to be washed on gentle cycles.Not this one.It covers almost the entire mattress of a twin size bed and While you don't often need to you can wash it in hot water.These are the first waterproof pads that have had any sort of longevity for us.

I purchased three of these pads to use on my sectional coach after one of my cats thought it would be a good idea to urinate on the cushion. Because we have four cats, and all of their hair, we place these Inspire under pads down first directly on the couch and then use bed linens on top of those and change them every week to minimize vacuuming time.My cat decided to urinate again on the coach this past weekend, and luckily the pad was down. It absorbed all of the liquid, no leaks of any kind! I washed the under pad on a normal cycle with warm water, and used Woolite for the laundry soap and Vinegar for the rinse. No residual smell of any kind after washing! After reading the reviews of others, I decided to dry the under pad on Ultra low for 30 minutes. No bumps, no cracking/bending/breaking of the vinyl-coated layer.To say that my husband and I are pleased with these pads is a gross understatement. With continued proper care, I believe that these pads will last a long time.

nice oversized pad- I put on top of mattress, then put a towel over it, then the bed sheet to hold all in place, and it works well- Can't say how it works for liquid- but for sweating (I get night sweats bad) it works wonders- keep the mattress from getting soaked

When my Dad was in hospice, we put this under him, to protect the sheets and to move him around the bed(mainly pulling him up). The plastic baking made it slide really easily . We bought 2 to interchange them if one got soiled. Easy to wash.

Have tried different sizes and different brands of bed pads. I think these Inspire Underpads are the best and they are not breaking our strained budget. Have washed and dried these numerous times over at least the past 3 months and they are holding up well. I now have at least 3 of each size and use these nightly.My 6' tall husband often sleeps on his side and there seems to be NO brief, pull-up, etc. that will catch his urge incontinence when he is on his side. Have tried different brands/types of underpads to help but prefer this brand. Because he also turns and tosses throughout the night, our solution is this: He wears the brief that works the best for him, plus I put down this 36x72 bed pad on the mattress, then I lay a 54" long pad crosswise in the middle to protect the sides of the mattress, finally I place a normal size bed pad on top of this. These pads are then covered with a fitted sheet to keep all this in place as much as possible. When he does have an accident I usually only need to remove the sheet & smallest bed pad. Other times, however, all 3 manage to receive his urine. This system, however, protects the mattress the best (which, BTY, is also covered with a protecting mattress cover). Before I located & used this 36x72 size pad, we actually used more than one protecting mattress cover. When things seemed to really get out of control I ordered more of these so I could always replace the entire set of pads whenever the first three were used with a single incident. This system causes me the least amount of work and since starting this system, his urine has never reached beyond/below this 36x72 pad. I highly recommend these!
