Awesome tasting funky tea!
I heard about this on Julia's podcast. I don't know if it's helping me lose weight or lowering my cholesterol yet, but I'm about halfway through this box and I really look forward to my afternoon cup of tea! I do sweeten a bit with agave nectar, and really like the flavor. Be aware that this isn't regular black tea, it's funky and delicious!

Tastes great, less cholesterol
Great stuff. Testing shows it reduces cholesterol in animals and it seems to be working for everyone I refer it to. Worked for me and my wife. Also, does not get bitter taste when you forget to remove the tea bag like regular black tea,

Flush Brew for Best Results !
I used to drink republic of tea coconut pu erh loose leaf but it was quite expensive, and I didn't always want the coconut flavor. So, I tried this very economical brand. I think I have found the best way to brew it with a bit of experimentation to get the best flavor profile.1) First I put the tea bag in a cup and add about a 1/4 cup of boiling 212 degree water. I dunk the bag a few times and then quickly discard the first "flush" brew.2) Then, I pour a full cup of boiling water over the tea bag again and let it steep for about 1 minute. Next, pour off about half of that cup and add more boiling water to top the cup off.3) I let it steep another 4-5 minutes and then add some agave or honey and a splash of oat milk.Voila ! a beautifully mellow and still very flavorful cuppa.*The flushing process gets rid of some of the more pungent / fishy notes all pu erhs can possess.

Tastes very good
I found Pu erh tea in an Asian market that I loved! However, they stopped carrying it a few years back and I've searched for one with the same flavor. Most had a "fishy" taste or smell that I just couldn't stomach. But THIS tea is exactly what I was looking for! And being in individual tea bags make it much more convenient that the loose leaf for me. Will be ordering this one often!
