Best kitchen gadget I’ve purchased
I absolutely love this little gadget! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would! It quickly and easily chops fruits and vegetables into either diced or chopped pieces. When you put your fruit in, don’t be afraid to give it a good whack. I was a bit tentative at first and sometimes the peel would stick. Once I got a bit more aggressive and really gave it a good whack it’s worked like a charm! I tried on meat (shrimp and rotisserie chicken) just to see what would happen and it did chop it, but not that great and pieces stuck so I don’t recommend that. However, that just demonstrated how easy clean up is.For fruits and veggies I just rinse usually, but for the meat it was a bit more involved. Even that was no biggie. This comes with a little pick like tool which is genius! It fits perfectly in between the little teeth and quickly removes anything stuck. The blades are extremely sharp so when they say don’t touch they mean it. I just have to rinse food out with my sink’s spray nozzle, no scrubbing. it all disassembles quickly and easily.I absolutely love that it catches the cut up pieces in a little pull out drawer. This drawer hold a lot and is perfect. I haven’t used the grater or the spirilizer yet, but that mandolin was great on onions and cucumbers (I have tried potatoes yet but I’m hopeful)I would highly recommend this product. Especially for someone who struggles to do kitchen things like chopping, some days I just couldn’t, but this has helped me tremendously!

It's not junk, but it's probably not a $35 investment either
When I received my item the box had some slight crush damage and a hole punched in the box. Upon opening we discovered that there was a crack in the corner of the tray. I didn't want to immediately order a new one without giving it a try first, because why order a replacement for something you might hate and return anyway, right? So we tried using the mandolin chopper on an onion, first. It performed as well as our OG Vidalia Chop Wizard. Celery? Done. Next potatoes, yep they passed the test. Sweet potatoes? A little more force required, but beautifully chopped. Same with carrots, although I've never wanted to chop one, I figured I'd give it a try. same as the sweet potato. The only thing I didn't attempt was a tomato, but then, I wouldn't even attempt using anything but a sharp knife to cut a tomato. Somethings you just can't be lazy about, and tomatoes are one of them. One thing to keep in mind, you cannot stick a whole potato in this thing. It's not a french fry cutter or a blooming onion cutter. You have to slice thicker veg first. Besides you want cubes, and you can only get that from pre-slicing. **If you're too lazy to EVER use a knife for anything, don't get this.** This doesn't do ALL of the work for you, it just does most of it and makes the cuts more uniform (which helps with even cooking). IYKYK, my people get it.Okay, so the spiralizer works. It's pretty cool. I like having the option. I want to make ribbon fries with it now. Because bland "zoodles" are never going to motivatee to use this. The best part about this thing is the little claw things they give you to clean the pressing tray and the included brush. Like, this is everything I ever wanted right here. I hated trying to get the food unstuck from our old chopper's pressing tray.Plus, almost every single part is modular/removable so it's less bulky)awkward to clean.Oh! While using this guy we worsened the crack, so I will say it is not as durable as our Vidalia chopper, because the clear plastics are VERY fragile. We could drop our Vidalia chopper from one story up and it would be fine.Overall, I love this thing. All the extra features above my current Vidalia chopper are very nice to have and helps me condense my kitchen space a bit more. Do I think it's worth the current $35 price tag? No. I think at the $28 price tag, it might be worth it, but at $35 it seems too fragile of a tool. I never felt like I was going to break it just by using it, but if the plastic can't handle shipping it probably won't handle my kitchen. I'll end up keeping the replacement only because this system is more compact than my current separate chopper and mandolin and it has an extra blade I really wanted, but that's the only reason.

If you love diced veggies and salsa… this is for you!
Well… I read all the reviews - even those saying that people cut themselves on the sharp blades.I thought… “Note to self… I’ll be very careful. I won’t cut myself.”Well, I took it out of the packaging and upon my FIRST attempt to use it, I sliced 3 fingers in multiple places. They bled for hours… every time I took the towel that I used to put pressure on it, my fingers would bleed again. Not worthy of a hospital visit. It worked itself out with constant pressure - just took longer than anticipated. A few days of bandaids all over the tops of my fingers and I’m all good 😊Is it just me… When you reach into a bowl of diced veggies mix it up… don’t you naturally reach into the bowl from the top (above)? That said, I automatically went to reach in (top was open) to see how the diced veggies came out.BIG MISTAKE. I essentially hit my finger tips into the blades on the small dicer and immediately cut myself. That’s all it took! So… when you want to check out the finely diced veggies… REMEMBER to slide the drawer open first, then reach in there - not over the blades 😊Aside from that, as a lover of tabouleh salad and huge salads with a variety of diced veggies, this is a great purchase.Making my famous salsa and tabouleh salad was a pain because I hated the prep work it took to finely cut all the veggies. With minimal prep, this gadget is AMAZING m, makes dicing a breeze, and it’s easy to clean.I still have to try the other blades but so far so good.I’m curious how long the blades will stay as sharp as they are initially - warranty with normal use. With weekly use, 2-3 times a week, I hope they last at least a year.Great buy though! Almost $45 seemed pricey for a small kitchen gadget, but worth it.
