Even though they are quite tight on my feet, they are really comfortable and do keep my feet warm. Just wondering if, after washing them, they will become a little less tight...

I have no idea what Merino Wool is but what I can confirm is that these socks are fantastic for keeping my feet warm and comfortable. I suffer with poor circulation in my feet, most likely caused by my diabetes, so I wear socks even when I'm at home. These socks really do have some great cushioning and I have been told that the Merino wool blend is what makes them breathable and helps them draw moisture away from the skin and in turn keeps your feet dry. The moisture was one of the issues I had hen wearing my socks around the house all day and these totally eliminate that problem.These socks are thick and well-cushioned, making them soft and really cosy against my skin. I found the cushioning to be just right—thick enough to provide support but not so bulky that they affect your footwear fit. The elastic design ensures they stay in place without being too tight, and they fit comfortably inside my boots or my shoes when I do want to go out.With three pairs in the pack, they’re maybe a little on the pricey side, but for the quality and comfort provided I think they are well worth it. Whether you’re just wearing them at home like me, or out at work, hiking, or participating in any sports, these socks offer excellent comfort, and just as importantly, warmth.

Superb socks these, so much so I bought two more sets. Lovely and soft, very comfortable and a perfect fit for me (size 9-11) I'm size10. They wash really well and I would definitely buy more if, and when I need to.

The seller's product description describes these socks as 'thermal'. They are not. They're no warmer than any other of my thick, outdoor socks and nowhere near as warm as my other thermal socks.They are also very tight: I bought the 'large' size - I am size 9 - and they are so tight that they are an effort to put on.They look great and are well made, but overall I feel misled.
