This thing works!
Assembly instructions were clear and only took 20 minutes to complete. The 15 amp motor is very powerful and the tines on the dethatching blade are tough. You MUST buy a 12AWG extension cord however. With a motor this powerful, the draw is simply too much for that flimsy orange 16 gauge extension cord you already have in the garage... it will overheat and likely melt (or worse). Don't bother using the collection bag unless you're dethatching a very small plot of grass. You'll be emptying it after walking every 10-15 feet. Just pass over the entire area 1-2 times in different directions and either rake up the dead grass by hand, or collect it with a bagging mower. Couldn't be happier with this product though. Easy to push, easy to turn, and very effective at ripping up all the dead stuff without harming your healthy grass.

Used properly does the job
This little thing saved me tons of work, stripped out what I wanted on my lawn was able to advance my lawn care quickly because of this little baby. Don’t know much about these units prior however not overpowering was able to use it as I wanted.

WoW,LUV it, what a vital machine for the yard and lawn, I wish I had known and purchased this long ago.I don't know how long these electric dethatcher scarifiers have existed, but glad I finally have one.This brand is exeptionally made and high quality. The weight and size is great for my yard, it willmake my life easier. I am happy I found this Everage model. do not hesitate to buy this, it does thework for you. I wish my mower was this easy.
