This was about the perfect size to carry in a small shoulder bag and pull out when I found a stamp at a station. I do recommend taking an extra sheet of paper and placing it between the pages to make sure that the ink doesn't bleed through from the stamps and from whatever potential pen/marker you use when noting your stamp details.

Faithful to the description. Well designed with a really beautiful cover. It’s small and practical for carrying in your pocket or a small bag. it has a few pages with a guide on finding the stamps and some phrases in Japanese too, it’s just a few pages but it’s a nice and useful addition. I bought a few stamp notebooks with different designs for me and my girlfriend to fill in this year during our Japan trip and this is one of our favorites.

First impression when I took it out of the packaging is that the book is cheaply made and the colors are not as vibrant as in the picture. It's not the best quality binding, held together with glue, but it held together just fine for our trip. I would recommend getting a hardcover book to stamp in because the paperback covers got bent and worn down as I took it in and out of my bag. If you buy this for eki stamps, depending on the stamp pad at the stations, some ink bleeds through the page because the paper is slightly less thick than copy paper. We found that out the hard way when one stamp ruined another (see attached pic). But other than that first mishap, it was adequate for the purpose and we got our stamps.
