Lifeproof FRĒ SERIES Waterproof Case for Samsung Galaxy S9 - Retail Packaging - NIGHT LITE (BLACK/LIME)

I have used phone cases since my very first Blackberry smart phone. I work in a rough environment and I also like to play in harsh environments. I've seen too many accidents with expensive phones. My phone is supposed to be waterproof and dustproof, but I wanted drop and screen protection as well. My usual go to case did not have screen protection, so I decided to try out the Lifeproof case after finding a great deal on Amazon. I wasn't thrilled about having to buy a belt clip holster separately, but I made that purchase and am really glad I did.My wife tells me that belt clips for phones aren't very stylish, but I like my phone accessible and protected. On my first week out with this clip and case, I was on a kayak trip. I clipped this to my life jacket so I could get to my phone easily and get some good pictures. After a trip through an unexpectedly tough section of rapids and a collision with a very large boulder, my kayak was upside down and I was scraping along the bottom of the river. After getting back to my kayak and getting as much stuff as I could to the edge of the river, I was relieved to find my phone still attached to my life jacket, especially since it was a new phone and my wife had earlier suggested I not leave it on my life jacket. She may be right about my lack of style (obviously), but thanks to this great clip-on phone holster and Lifeproof case, I didn't have to hear "I told you so" about the phone. There was no damage and not a drop of water in the case, not even condensation. I highly recommend this case and the belt clip holster.Reading other comments, I will confirm that at times the touch screen may take a little extra effort, but if you change the settings, it typically works fine. The fingerprint reader can also take a little extra effort at times. I can live with these small inconveniences as long as it protects my phone and screen.

I used to use Otterbox exclusively. Then I upgraded to a Galaxy S9, with a curved screen. Otterbox's S9 case completely gives up on a screen protector. Oh, they have one you can buy separately, but it is applied to the screen with an adhesive, and frankly, falls off at the first opportunity. So I bounced around to different cases. I scoured the internet for my exact criteria: dustproof, waterproof, built-in screen protector, belt clip, kick stand. I found nothing, none, not a single case that met ALL of these.I work in a pseudo construction industry. There is lots of dust and debris. My hands are frequently dirty. I need quick access to my phone for everything from changing my music, to answering work related phone calls. I also enjoy Youtube videos on my breaks. This case, and the inclusion of the belt clip holder, do literally everything I need it to do. It is 100% dust proof and water proof. I cut material and get particles all over me and my phone, handle my phone with dirty hands, and later in the day, blow the particles off with an air hose and wipe the screen clean with glasses cleaner. Boom, done. Break time? I take the belt clip off, place the kickstand, and I'm enjoying myself in no time.This case does everything I ever wanted a phone case to do. It has zero problems with bluetooth, wifi, or network signal loss. It wirelessly charges through the case. It keeps my 900 dollar phone clean and safe from particles, fluids, drops, sharps edges, you name it!BUY THIS CASE! YOU WILL LOVE IT!

I honestly love Lifeproof. I have been using their cases on a variety of phones over the years. This is my current phone. I drop my phone often and hard, and i have never experienced a screen crack with these cases, that I can tell you never wavers. There have been MANY falls when I thought, "This is the one. This will be the time my screen is shattered" and there's never even a scratch. For this reason I will keep using this brand.Unfortunately there is a functionality problem. The volume down and power buttons stop working. Not on the phone, but only when the case is one. Because this case is waterproof, it also has false buttons so that you can still use the actual buttons on the phone. These get worn out fairly quickly and you loose functionality of those buttons unless you take your case off, which defeats the purpose of the tremendous job is does of protecting your phone from falls.However, despite this disappointing issue, Lifeproof has put SO much care into their customer service. I have called them complaining about this issue and they have sent me entirely new cases at no cost. This, and the protection are the ultimate reasons I will continue to use Lifeproof.

My husband absolutely loves this phone case! His work often takes him to high elevations hanging over busy construction sites and this case has really helped make things easier and safer for him. He no longer has to worry about keeping his phone in a bag when the weather is bad. The case is fully waterproof (he tested it himself), and that is a big help. He can easily manipulate the phone with no sensitivity issues on the touch screen through the case. He ordered a clip to go with the case that helps with the safety issues as well. He doesn't have to worry about dropping it while working up high. He highly recommends this phone case.
