Great upgrade for a Squier Bullet Strat
The pickups and the electronics on this pickguard are a huge upgrade that made my Squier Bullet Strat more like, well, a true Stratocaster! It even had separate capacitors for each tone control which really cleans up the tone when using switch position 4.After reading other reviews, I was expecting to have to trim the pickguard and drill some new mounting holes into the guitar body. However, five of the existing holes lined up perfectly. The other six were a little off, but not so much that they weren't useable. I might have lucked out, but I didn't have to do any modifications to get a nice fit. There were two minor issues that were easy to fix. The volume control knob was interfering with the bridge pickup adjustment screw. All I did to fix it was loosen the nut on the volume pot, move the pot away from the pickup, and retighten the nut. There was enough play that I didn't have to enlarge the hole for the pot. The other issue had to do with the pickup adjustment screws that were so coarsely threaded that they stripped the plastic bottom plates of the pickups. Fortunately, I was able to replace the screws - and the springs - with more standard parts. They now function just fine. All in all, this upgrade was incredibly cost effective. The pickups sound pretty much how you expect Strat pickups to sound, and the pickguard and the electronics look and work great.

Good! And almost great!
Firstly, I have to say these are such a great value for the money. Fit was pretty much spot on with my Squier affinity, though there is one little area where the pickguard is curved a tad upward (not even large enough to fit a pick under it, but it's there, might just be a tad bent). These pickups are also pretty low noise and sound awesome.. That being said, I'm a really big critic of pickup tone so I'm going to give these a really in depth review..These are not quite as bright as I prefer in a strat pickup. They quack and clack and chime a decent amount, but not quite to the degree a good vintage pickup would (my favorite). That being said, the tone is unique in that it's a bit warmer and creamier and they can be made brighter with something like a treble booster or by turning up your treble settings, and you'll almost sound like a fender vintage pickup (I do mean almost, the differences are subtle, but they exist).I like that they're unique and still have a good sound overall, so I think I'll keep them in my guitar for now! They definitely play the blues well and mimic good strat tone. They are of pretty good quality sound wise.My only other minor gripe is that there are some very minor volume and tone inconsistencies across the selector switch positions, namely between 1,3,5 being a bit offset to 2 and 4, where you feel like you lose a little punch in your tone. This is nothing terrible, and that can be tamed a little with adjusting the heights and such. Also, with the modest top end they can get a little muddier at times with the wrong amp settings. If you're looking for a cheap way to upgrade a Squier, this is really a great way to do it. If you're looking for true fender tone with a really bright quack and chime etc... These may not be for you. Overall, I'm very happy with these and love the way they sound, though I at some point may stop being cheap and spring for a 50's set or even get a vintage remake squier and keep this guitar the way it is. All in all these pickups have a great character of their own and are worth a look.

Solid price. Looks good. Sounds great!
Priced very competitively compared to other brands in this price range. Parts don’t look cheap or have weird cuts like other brands in this price range. Pickups sound super great! Parts all soldered nicely. There’s no ground wire to a grounding lug that you would screw into the body. You’ll have to do that yourself if you need it. Not a big deal! I’m super happy with it!

Great buy for the price!
I only used the electronics so I can’t speak for the pickguard but these pickups are actually pretty great I'm surprised. Plenty of wire for the jack and claw ground and I had to add a wire for my EMI shield (only necessary if you’re guitar is shielded). Sounds great in all switch positions with good tone across the board! Pretty impressed!

Kinda harsh!
I picked this up for a project guitar as I don't want to spend a lot of money until I know the guitar is really playable and well set-up. I had high hopes, but pretty disappointed. First, the pick guard scratches with the lightest brush of ones finger nails. 2nd, these have to be the harshest, tinny strat pickups I've ever heard. Maybe good for heavy metal thrashers, but not me.

Skeptical at first, now impressed!
The PROS:1. Economical $$$ replacement.2. Easy to install (if holes match).3. Pick-ups sound really good after adjusting height and dialing in EQ.The CONS:1. Cheap pots and 5-way switch. They work fine but, I replaced with CTS pots and CRL switch.Note: The 3 shaft holes for the pots will need to be slightly enlarged on the pickguard using drill.2. Two of the mounting holes were just a hair off on my MIC Squire Affinity but didn't need todrill/modify.Conclusion:Highly recommend (IMHO) if you want a cheap way to bring life back to your tone challenged strat. Replace the pots and 5-way switch, if/when you have the funds, and you'll be really happy.

Sounds great, fit great
Slapped this on a 2007 fender MIM strat that I had stolen a previous upgraded loaded pick guard from. All 11 holes lined up very nicely. the pickups sound fantastic. Also, if you do a real quick mod to the switch you can easily get the bridge pickup on the second tone control too. just bridge two lugs on the switch.
