Pure Batana Oil
This pure batana oil comes in a 60ml bottle and has the added advantage of including a pink scalp massager which is a thoughtful addition. It also comes with a little brush and a mascara type wand for applying to eyebrows and lashes. I've only been using it on my hair so far though. One of the issues with this type of oil is after massaging it into your scalp you end up with oil all over your hands which I don't like, so the massager solves this issue. In use it is easy to apply with the included dropper, it has a nutty but not unpleasant smell to me. I then comb it through with the massager and leave it on my hair for 30 - 60 minutes before showering. The instructions say to put it on after showering but I don't want to walk around with oily nutty smelling hair or have to have another shower an hour later. My strategy seems to be working and my hair is feeling much softer than before.Overall this is great oil but maybe a bit expensive at £12.99 for 60ml but this is offset by the addition of the scalp massager. Overall I would recommend buying this product, even if just once to get the massager.

Lovely
I use this oil at night on my eyebrows and sparingly on my eyelashes as I believe it will, not only help them grow but also nourish them.I also use this sparingly to add shine to my revamped hair in between washes, or just on the ends to help them shine if looking a bit dull after blowdrying my hair.It moisturises my hands too, after using on my hair I continue to rub in any residue. This helps keep my hands lovely and moisturised.I have used this on any spots of dry skin on my body, though I use the butter bantana oil for body massages and moisturising my scalp, hair and body and it leaves all lovely and soft.I have fallen in love with bantana oil products for nourishing both my hair and scalp, but also my skin too. The butter is superb for hard dry skin on feet, but so is this oil for use in the morning to keep your feet happy but not the slightly greasy feel you can get with the bantana butterIf you’d like soft and moisturised hair and body I recommend you try this, it is exceptional value for money as a little certainly goes a long way.

Easy to apply alternative to the tubs
I’m in two minds about whether it is better to use the tubs of ‘solid’ raw Batana oil, or this cold-press liquid alternative. The benefit of this type is that you have a range of easier ways to apply it. It also comes with two brush-type applicators, so easier to work into eyebrows, if required, and this particular set (sent in a clear ziplock bag) has a rubber scalp massager, so you might get a little less messy with this one. Although you’ll then have a load of different things that need cleaning rather than just your hands, so there is that! Perhaps the easiest - if possibly not the most effective - way to use it would be to add a few drops to whatever hair product or conditioner you normally use and see if you notice any benefits. The instructions indicate this could take four to eight weeks, so you may need more than one bottle to reach that point.Where I am leaning towards the tubs instead is partially because I feel you get a lot more for your money with them; it is a little more hassle having to warm it in your hands to return it to an oil consistency, but you don’t need much of the solid form to produce a decent amount of oil. Also, and this may vary from person to person, but to me the solid, waxier variety smells much nicer! It is sweet and coffee-ish, whereas the liquid form has a plainer, nutty/seed-oil tang without any of the sweetness. If you’re going to be using any of this near or on your face, you’re going to be smelling it a lot…

Sourced from Honduras
I have a good head of hair and enjoy using it to condition and repair my hair. My son is losing his, so he has started massaging his scalp with this oleic acid-containing batana oil and is noticing a reduction in the receding. This is made in China, but the 100% pure batana is sourced from Honduras, so it carries quite a big carbon footprint.

Great Batana Oil
Scalp feels really nourished after using this, but it does have that Batana smell to it that reminds me of coffee beans. If you don't mind the smell then it's great. I massage into my scalp and leave for 30 minutes before washing my hair and have noticed my hair feels softer too.

The Scalp Massager Is Gentle On The Scalp
My hair isn't tangling as much. I've started using it on my skin. I can't say at this stage I've noticed any difference. The silicone scalp massager helps with the application process by massaging the oil into the scalp, it is non-intrusive and gentle on the scalp. Try a hot oil treatment (or add a few drops into your deep conditioner) so the ingredient penetrates deeply into your hair to strengthen strands. Once you apply the oil, use the scalp massager to massage it onto your scalp. Wrap your hair and put it in a plastic cap for 15 to 30 minutes. Finally, rinse and continue with the rest of your wash routine, my hair is more manageable. Some research states: There’s not enough scientific evidence to prove this oil encourages hair growth, 'while batana oil is often praised for its moisturizing and nourishing properties, there are limited studies supporting its role in promoting hair growth'.
