Great USB 4 SSD enclosure
If you’re aiming for the fastest speeds (3+ GB/s), the ASM2464PD chip is currently your best bet, and there aren’t many SSD enclosures featuring this chip. I own the Hyper enclosure and have also used the Satechi one. Their biggest issue, in my opinion, is the use of a plastic/silicone cover around the metal enclosure. This is intended to prevent the enclosure from feeling too hot to the touch but actually hinders heat dissipation. The Konyead enclosure, however, stands out because it doesn’t have the extra plastic/silicone wrapping and comes with active fan cooling. This theoretically makes its heat dissipation better than both the Hyper and Satechi enclosures I’ve used. There are also some nice details:• Silicone feet to prevent the metal case from scratching your desk• A built-in side clip for the data cable, so you don’t need to carry an extra cable separately, saving space.

fast, stable, loud
Only just started using so can't speak to longevity yet but posting this for others looking...tested on Mac mini m4 16/256 with samsung 980 pro 1TB in this enclosure using the included thermal paduse case here was a device to remain permanently attached to the Mac mini as extra storage... so far seems stable and outperforms the internal ssd in tests, have tested with apps installed to and launched from it (steam, iMovie, Xcode, etc) no issues so far.the fan is NOT SILENT... it's pretty loud... like a river constantly rushing... the fan does not ever sleep... there is no thermal logic it is just always on when the enclosure is active. when the Mac mini goes to sleep the fan does shut off eventually. indicator lights do remain on while the Mac mini is sleeping.still not sure if I will keep it due to the fan sound... if it were considerably cheaper I might disconnect the fan and attach a heat sink (the drive mounts face down to the bottom so it might be possible to add a heat sync) but will likely just try another brand to find a quieter fan with the same excellent performanceattached screenshots are the samsung 980 in this enclosure and the internal drive for reference (labeled at the bottom of the screenshots)

Sturdy speedy enclosure
This is a very well made enclosure. I personally like boxy feel rather than curved enclosures. One very important feature is securing the nvme drive on the board. 99% of enclosures have the rubber pin which often becomes loose and just generally as not physically secure. I like the drive to be screwed in on the board. This enclosure does just that. Feels very good on hand, solid, speedy enclosure. Highly recommend.

Worked in a pinch
I recently found myself in need of a robust solution for transferring files from an older desktop drive to a newer system. This USB4 NVMe Enclosure came to the rescue. Designed to support up to 8TB M.2 NVMe SSDs (which was an overkill I had a 2TB) and compatible with a wide range of USB and Thunderbolt standards, this enclosure promised broad compatibility, especially for my Mac system. Here’s how it performed:Pros:+ High-Speed Performance: The enclosure delivers on its promise of 40Gbps transfer speed. It is more than my drive's maximum capacity. So more than enough.+ Versatility: The compatibility with various standards (Thunderbolt 4, USB4, USB3.2/3.1/3.0/2.0) makes it a very useful tool.+ Silent Operation: The built-in silent fan is an excellent additionCons:None so far.Overall, this USB4 Enclosure with Silent Fan is an excellent choice for anyone needing a high-speed, reliable solution for data transfer or SSD extension. It worked great for me, and sure it will be a keeper.

Worst asm2464pd enclosure
This enclosure is cheap, I give it that. It's a lot cheaper than the other asm2464pd enclosures. A lot smaller, too. And I like that it includes a nice little cable.Unfortunately, as someone who also owns the zikedrive, satechi, and ugreen TB4 enclosures, the konyead is the only one that fails to work on my machine. No matter what firmware I use, the konyead will drop out after a few hundred gigs of copying. The fan is also really loud. The ugreen has a fan, and it's not nearly the same level. The build also sucks, which I can excuse for the price I guess. It does seem everyone else likes this enclosure. It's rated higher than the ugreen by like an entire star as of writing. Unfortunately, I can only rate based on my own experience. It's a 1 star for me. I'm sorry Konyead

No problems after first day of use
Gets full 20Gbps read and write speeds with Corsair MP600 Elite 2TB, Screws are smal,l suggest doing install inside of a box so you won't loose screws if it falls of magnetic screw driver that's included. I purchased a longer usb4 cable the very short cable that came with it may be ok for a lap top.Fan works, highest temp seen with Crystal Disk Info app was 50c while transferring 300gb to it from internal nvme drive,it was a fast transfer, have a MSI USB4 card that came with Carbon Max II,will update if any problems arise.I doubt the fan will last,if it fails there is room to use a heat-sink if cover is left off.
