This works great for my two year old. I like that the straps are made of safety belt mats they are super sturdy and hold up well when he pulls on the leash. The vest itself is pretty big (my little guy is 37in tall and 20inches around on his torso). I added an extra strap in the back at shoulder blade height to keep my toddler from slipping out of the vest, even on its smallest setting.Overall, super pleased though. As I said, the straps are sturdy and the vest is padded so it's comfortable for my little guy.The bag that comes with it is a bit of a miss for me. The material, while probably weather resistant, is pretty stiff which makes it a poor choice for a drawstring bag. It would have been better with a flap/snap closure.

If you have a child who is on the spectrum and likes to run this is a must-have! I was always dead against putting my son on a leash but at 5 years old he is getting faster and becoming more of a handful out in public. I can remember taking him to a bowling alley and him running on all the lanes and almost getting crushed by the pin machine and had all the workers screaming at him. . Very scary .We stopped trying to take him places. Today we got this and went to Walmart. Absolutely loved it and so did my son. He kept saying "Happy Baby". He gets his independence but is safe and controlled boundaries. When he started going opposite way or on the floor I could easily maneuver him and keep him on track. Was a lil big but he will grow into it. Strap gets caught around his waist at times like when you walk a puppy but he just got untangled quickly. We can now go anywhere and enjoy ourselves..the possibilities are limitless..I can't thank you enough. My husband who hated idea even said we should of gotten one sooner ♡♡♡♡

Item was WAY too big for 40inch tall 4.5 year old. Barely adjustable. My son could slip right out. And on our first outing, it broke. The handle ripped off.I'd give it zero stars if I could.

The media could not be loaded. While my grandson IS NOT autistic he is an escape master at only 3 yrs old. The handle isn't removable which I don't like but deal with, I do like the safety feature for the locks. This gets only 4 (would be 5 but) because it's marketed as a vest for autistic children...I had to update my review of this product. We have been using it for about a week now and the latch on the right side (his right) has a flaw. Interestingly enough after a week's worth of use he can unlock the latch at times without engaging the "child safety" feature. It is an on again off again thing as in sometimes he can unlock it because the safety lock doesn't work and sometimes he cant because it works, so I'm not sure what is wrong. This makes me nervous because what if he unlocks it and wiggles out at the wrong time...? The child safety lock WAS the reason I purchased this product over all the other vests, but now I am questioning if this is just another crappy item sold to people in need praying on their vulnerability. For this reason I have given it 2 stars instead of the original 4

This is exactly what I was looking for for my runner. In crowded spaces I no longer have to be paranoid of him running away from me. It’s for his safety. It’s comfortable to wear and nice quality

Very sturdy and made with good quality materials. Very easy to use and works just as expected. This is definitely made for a little bit older of a kid as it's too big for my 3 year old. So I would say made more for a 5 and up. Definitely gives peace of mind to keep child safe.
