Yes, higher ah means you will get more Backup hours. With 150 ah say you get 4 hours backup with 220 ah you will get more than 5 hours backup depending on the load.

ups is also a inverter. inversion output is what we use. but the thing is on ups there'll be no interruption of power supply but inverter without ups will interrupt power i.e., we can see breaking of current for a second or two. but when you turn on ups mode then there'll be no interruption of current even for those 2 sexonds too. and this is inverter which supports ups mode. on ups mode battery life will be less. if you've computer, projector then use on ups mode or else normal mode. if you use system ups then you'll have better battery life of inverter. and this ups 1100 model whic is 900va but not 1100va(1100 is a model number but not 1100va) supports ups mode. and don't be cheated with model name and this is so basic model. take something better like microtek, Exide etc.,
