Heavy and strong unit. The mounting bolts are larger and longer. Much better than the one I replaced. The Police Approved is a nice-to-have. The internals look more robust and less likely to go wrong. Mine did not come with instructions, but the Amazon web page had all the installation, operating instructions and the videos were surprisingly good. I needed a longer 5mm masonry drill bit. I like the urn handle release. Worth spending a bit extra for this unit.

Key safe feels substantial so confident i can leave a key safely in there. Easy to install. Had no problems with bolts follow the instructions and should be ok. Ok i accept that any combination of your code works so stick to a 4 to 6 digit one with a letter. Only seen one other key safe where you can use the same number as part of your code but that was around £200. Happy with purchase.

Keysafe was easy to fit. I had no problems that others experienced with the supplied bolts, although two of them were pretty tight. I just eased the bolt back a half turn from time to time and it worked its way into the brickwork. Protection from rubber shroud seems adequate. Make sure the wall is flat, and knock off any high spots behind the safe.I only have one key in it, so can't sabot capacityNo points deducted for the key code issue that all of these mechanical safes seem to suffer from. The chosen code can be entered in any order, e.g. B12345 can equally be entered as 54321B or any other variation I couldn't find a mechanical key safe that didn't have this issue.

Great product, very sturdy, easy to set your own combination, screws provided, disappointed that rawl plugs were not supplied as well as the fixing bolts

The first was damaged in transit & a replacement arrived next day in perfect condition. Easy to set code. Supplied with 4 self-tapping thunderbolts. Just use weatherproof case as a template to drill 4 holes with 5mm masonry bit (no rawlplugs required), position case & unit, insert thunderbolts with an 8mm socket to tighten. Insert keys & close.I can certainly recommend this product.No written instructions included but readily available on company website.

Bought this after reading the reviews in Amazon, it's now been in service for 6 months at an elderly relatives. Multiple services carers and doctors house aids have used it and all commented on how easy it is to use.

Very ply with this item. It’s easy to use and should be foolproof for all the different carers who call to the front door. My only criticism is i think it needs a cover over the inside of door to cover all the numbers and workings. If someone who opened it wanted to be particularly evil they could change the code very easily. A cover would deter them from ever thinking about doing it. Plus it looks a bit unprofessionally finished being ‘bare’. Otherwise a good item.

Better than off of key safe I purchased but nevever used Defender is heavier thick and stronger uses no rawl plugs instead uses 5mm thunder screws drill 5mm hole and fix using socket wrench even the cover is 100% better easy worth more than twice the £44 I paid punch in up to 6 numbers or or letters
