Excellent solution to pencil falling off
I was afraid of losing my pencil and this was great! Keeps it in place, hole in back makes it easy to pop out and pencil stays charged. I dropped it off of a stand and it cracked the pencil holder but has held up since even with the crack. Not super heavy plastic on that particular part. This was also great because i needed to take off my ipad frequently from magic keyboard to put on music stand and it kept my device from scratching. Firm attachment to keyboard. Loved this!I do feel like it’s kind of expensive for a plastic cover but it does have the electronic connection to keyboard and I didn’t find any comparable options

REVISED REVIEW - NO GOOD!
I own an iPad Pro 5th Generation 12.9 inch. This is my review of the product titled SwitchEasy CoverBuddy 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 Inch (5th Generation) Magnetic Case [2021 Upgrade] with Pencil Holder [Support Apple Pencil Charging]Case’s main purpose - pencil holder + magic keyboard case compatibilityPROS -- Product description is mainly accurate, but could improve.- Holds pencil securely while charging/resting.- Thin case that provides protection from scratches due to daily handling when not using the magic keyboard- A case with a very small footprint. Note, I am not a fan of bulky cases.CONS -1 - Not your traditional “case”. Case surrounds 3 of 4 sides of the iPad Pro and is very thin. This case does not provide full protection expected of what we traditionally call a “case”.2 - Access to power and volume buttons is a bit awkward; forcing the user reach behind the iPad to press buttons. Folks with big finger tips, issues with hand dexterity, long nails, etc. may find it more difficult and frustrating to use their iPad Pro 5th Gen while it’s in this case. In other words, this is not an ADA (Americans’ with Disabilities Act) compliant or thoughtful case.3 - Not iPad Pro 5th Generation specific (#1). The cutouts at the top of the case partially cover the iPad Pro 5th Gen speakers, but not to the detriment of the iPad’s functionality and quality of sound experience. In other words, I can live with this drawback.4 - Not iPad Pro 5th Generation specific (#2). The charging cable cutout at the bottom of the case is not usb-c cable friendly. THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT DRAWBACK especially if you often use your iPad Pro 5th Gen separate from the magic keyboard. Plenty of other customers have highlighted this in their review. An acceptable workaround is to charge your iPad using the charging port on the magic keyboard. At the SwitchEasy CoverBuddy’s price-point, such a necessary workaround is a significant deterrent to purchase (i.e., had I known…).5 - BROKEN AFTER 2 WEEKS OF NORMAL USE!!!! Please see other reviewers' photos of their case losing 1 or more of the magnetic pins that connects the iPad to the magic keyboard. This is a real thing.MY RECOMMENDATION: Do not purchase. It will be great for a short while and break. Hopefully it will break within the return window like mine did. Good luck!!If pencil security integrated into the case is not your highest priority, I recommend taking a look at the PITAKA 2021 iPad Pro 12.9 Case 5th Generation [MagEZ Case 2].

An Honest Review
I feel like sometimes people see products and expect manufacturers to be able to deny the laws of physics. The truth is if you are looking for something that is compatible with the Magic Keyboard you have to understand you’re going to be getting something pretty thin. It has to be able to fit in clothes while using this keyboard and this product does exactly that. Yes, at one end the cover does not extend all the way, but that is simply because once again due to the laws of physics, two objects cannot occupy the same space at the same time lol. There would be no possible way to close this due to the fact of how the Magic Keyboard is set up.You were wanting to buy this if you want a cover that you could put on your iPad and pop it in and out of the Magic Keyboard case. You want something thin that will protect it from scratches. If you are looking for something super durable that could fall from 68 feet and still protected this isn’t for you. This isn’t some sort of OtterBox defender. For me, it did exactly what I wanted it to.

Works as advertised.
Works as extra protection from minor scratches, but I doubt it’ll help from a high fall. I just wanted a case that works with the magic keyboard so that when I had write on the tablet I could easily remove it from keyboard and place it on a surface and not worry about scratching my tablet. Also, I needed a pencil holder. For my purposes, it works flawless. The connection between the keyboard and tablet is still very strong. No compatibility issues. My one and only issue is that there is no silicone to help press the volume button and close screen button. It’s really hidden and deep, so it is hard to press. Overall, I like it, but it is overpriced as it is flimsy and will only protect an iPad from minor scuffs and corner dings.

Great product!
A little pricy but honestly worth it! I love how slim it is and that I can use it with my Apple keyboard without worrying about my iPad when I take it off! Super functional and worth it in the long run!
