Very pleased with these items. Look really stylish in my kitchen and are easy cleaned.

The media could not be loaded. I love the appearance and shape of the kettle. It reminds me of the whistling stove top kettles but with the ability to switch itself off as it’s electric. The flex tucks neatly away in the base and the handle is comfortable to hold. It pours really nicely as well. When switched on the on switch lights up in blue but the only negative is that it’s not easy to see where the water level is.The toaster works perfectly and I set it to ‘3’ and produced the toast colour you see on my photo. I like the look of the dial and settings side…it looks smart and efficient. The colour matches the kettle but I’d have liked to have seen a bit more of that colour and less chrome on the sides just so it was more obvious that it matches.However both appliances are easy to use and easy to clean, with the kettle having a hidden element and the toaster a pull out crumb tray.

I got these as a housewarming gift for a young relative who's just moved into their first place, so I haven't actually been able to try them out in situ myself.For that reason I can't comment on performance/use issues but only really on the look and feel etc. - they loved how the set looks, particularly the kettle. The pyramid style seems to be on trend at the moment and the colour scheme (ivory/cream) is cool but neutral, and matches their kitchen easily.Feedback so far on useability has been good, the only slight misgiving that maybe a 4-slot toaster would have been better, but that's more a matter of my choice than a failing in the equipment itself!The kettle apparently boils very fast, and is quiet in use, and the toaster is controllable in terms of getting the right level of brown. I guess these are the key factors in kit like this, so it's all good!As a gift set I'd recommend this, as the two items come in separate boxes inside one larger box, so you coudl wrap it as one if preferred. For the price I'd say this set is good quality and value. There are cheaper options out there but it's good to go for trusted electrical brands in my view.

The Daewoo Kensington kettle and toaster arrived boxed together as a set. Within the outer box were the individual boxed appliances. In each of those boxes, together with the protected kettle and toaster was a well written instruction manual.The appliances each have an impressive 3 year warranty and are very good looking. The kettle, of course, is broader at the base than a jug kettle, and the top is perhaps a little more difficult to remove, but otherwise it is very practical, made of stainless steel, with a removable filter, a 1.7 litre capacity and an easy to read level gauge. The kettle a 3kw hidden element, so boils quickly.The 2 slice toaster, also stainless steel, is similarly in elegant. On the practical front it has wide openings for a half bagel or whatever, that closes to grip the slice at the appropriate thickness when the lever is pressed down. It also has a high lift to fully eject your slices when removing them. There is a slide out crumb tray at the base. As well as the browning control knob there is a button to cancel the toasting function, one for defrosting and a reheat button, which my previous toaster doesn’t have, presumably it warms without heating sufficiently to toast. The toaster operates at 850 W, a little less than my current 2 slice toaster, so toasting is perhaps a little slower.Overall this is a well made and attractive 2 slice toaster and kettle set. It is difficult to comment on price, currently £69.99, as the cost of these sets vary so much, in part it seems to me depending on the prestige of the make. Daewoo is an established make but perhaps without the reputation of some others who charge very much more for a technically not too different product. Similarly there are basically equivalent products from less known makes, as well as ones with plastic-like casings that can be found for significantly less. Personally I would be a little concerned about using these given the safety issues. I will give this set a rating of 4 stars.

This is a nice kettle and toaster set that fits many kitchen themes. My countertops are marbled with a silver and white theme, and this set fits perfectly. The kettle's design looks more traditional and works just as well as my standard one. The toaster is the same; I get even colouring consistently when I've used it for bread.
