Great unit, great price
Over the winter, I burned up one of my newer shore power cords on the Neutral contact (it seems to always be the neutral contact that goes on these things) needed a replacement connector or buy a new cord for $120. Amazon to the rescue, as I drove all over and nobody had the female 30A 125V connectors except West Marine and they wanted $60 for them. Let's see, $120 for a new cable with new connectors or a new connector for half the price? How's about a new connector from Amazon for one EIGTH the price? Much better quality than anything West Marine is selling for any price, and easy to use, plus free shipping for you Prime members. Cannot be beat.

High-quality plug made in Taiwan
Pleasantly surprised by the quality. Many high-quality electrical components are coming out of Taiwan these days, and this plug is no exception. Better build than the same type of plug from Leviton and Cooper which you will find at the big box stores. It's not quite to the level of Hubbell connectors, especially in the screw/lug area, but its half the price of one of those. (I am occasionally guilty of over-torquing the lugs and stripping the screws. There was not a hint of that happening on this plug - good metal used in the screws and lugs.) This little gem has good dimensional tolerances on the three blade slots and a very positive and secure feel to the twist lock. The injection molding is clean too.

Adequate Replacement for Original
Purchased to replace the plug on the cord for a travel trailer. Installation was a straightforward process.There were some noticeable differences between the replacement and original plugs in terms of quality. The original plug had a more robust locking mechanism for both the housing and wire connections. I think this is related to the price point as much as anything.The replacement plug has a more tapered flexible housing than the original, which makes for a tighter fit in my case. Not unworkable, but does take a bit more attention to screw the retaining ring onto the trailer receptacle housing.Has been used for one camping trip so far and worked as expected/intended.

Does just as it should. I had an old power cord that I shortened to 15 feet to keep from having to break out the long one where it's not needed.

I WISH THEY WOULD INCREASE THE PRICE BY A BUCK OR TWO AND USE ALL STAINLESS STEEL SCREWS IN THE CONSTRUCTION.THESE ARE DURABLE, SOLID, EASY TO USE AND LAST A GOODLY AMOUNT OF TIME AROUND THE MARINE CLIMATE.DID I MENTION THAT I WISH JOURNEYMAN PRO WOULD RAISE THE PRICE BY A BUCK OR TWO AND USE STAINLESS STEEL SCREWS?
