A beautiful Violin that ticks all boxes
Fantastic violin! I'm an adult beginner and I've been playing this violin for the last 3 months. It is definitely holding up and it has a very warm tone to it. The bow catches the strings beautifully and the case it comes in is very durable. One note - when mine arrived the bridge had been shifted to the left but this was easily fixed. I highly recommend this violin!Update 27/03/2024This will be my 4th year with this violin and I'm still proudly playing the same one as an adult beginner. This violin (now named Autumn 🍁) has been continously played through the years and I love it. It's been complimented by many people for it's sound and antique look, and most people were shocked whenever I told them it's a Stentor.Over the years I have changed the strings, bridge, I've had the pegs re-shaped and replaced the bow which broke after 3 years of constant use.I've been through a lot with this violin and I still love it after all of these years. It has gotten me FAR in my violin journey and has been played in many concerts at my local orchestra. I would HIGHLY recommend this for any adult beginner who is seeking a violin but does not want to spend a fortune to start with. Honestly for this price you will not be disappointed!

Fantastic Instrument -pity about the violinist!
The media could not be loaded. This Violon from Stentor is brilliant, it feels really good and makes a good sound. It came fitted with Tonica strings and although I'm a complete novice, they do seem quite loud in my ear when making noises. It's not the usual orangey red colour for modern violins but a more natural woody brown effect. The wittner tailpiece is good. The fine tuners allow you to use the pegs to get 99% tuned and hit the exact spot with the knobs on the tailpiece that are easier to adjust. The case is light but substantial and will protect the violin from a lot of knocks and bashes but its probably best not to use it as a battering ram!It is meant for the intermediate player and so the price tag reflects that but you do get what you pay for and the quality feels very good. I'm guessing (and hoping) that a beginner, like myself, won't need to upgrade for a very long time!Hopefully the video will give you some idea as to what this brilliant violin is like and how it sounds on "open strings" - you need to remember that the violin and Tonica strings are very new and is being played by a novice violinist! - hence slightly wobbley notes!

Beautiful violin
Delighted with this violin .It’s a lovely dark brown colour and has a lovely bright tone. It arrived very quickly and carefully packaged.Ideal for an intermediate/advanced player. Needs tuning regularly but this is probably normal with most violins.Worth every penny.
