Rome RM2304 Brass Rosette Sundial

I've had this outside for a month now, getting snowed and rained on.This sundial looks great! And it's quite functional. Very lovely, heavy and well made. Gives me a good reason to go outside.Highly recommended.

The brass sundial is beautiful, heavy and well made. The green color on the one I received is not as dark as the one pictured. This is fine with me. The bright polished gnomon is dazzling in the sunlight. I placed the sundial on a 11.5" x 11.5" x 1.5" square of grey field stone that matches my patio. They both sit on a dark mesh outdoor coffee table. The contrast of the colors makes the sundial show up very nicely. I think anyone would be pleased to own this sundial or give it as a gift.

The brass sundial is beautifully detailed with roman numerals and an inspirational message, “I am silent without the sun.” The sundial was carefully packaged in bubble wrap. Shipping was expedited quickly. I received the sundial before the estimated delivery. Nothing but excellent service from this vendor from order to delivery. A very satisfied customer.

The sundials are gorgeous, now if we can get from them a stand that doesn't weigh less than 1/3 the weight if the dial we'd be happy. I can't pay upwards of $200 for a pedestal. They make a couple cheap ones so I tried them, too light to withstand a wind, being top heavy with this heavy weight sundial on top. The dial are made to be screwed onto the Rome bases. sothey need to figure that out.Or am I missing something? Is the base supposed to weight so much less than the dial on top?

Getting lots of compliments on it

I bought this sundial to replace an old, faded sundial face that was intended for looks but not functional use. This sundial has both good looks, and it is accurate enough to be useful when I am covered in dirt from gardening and don't want to go inside to check the time. My only wish is that they made a larger size version of this 10" one. A 12" version would be nice.

This sundial fits perfectly on top of a stone directional post in the center of my garden. The N- E - S - W inscriptions on the sundial nicely compliment the directions on the four sides of the stone post. Love it!

I love this item. This sun dial is solid cast brass with a lovely design. It feels and looks like a quality item. It features north, west, east and south within a pattern that has a flower type design. It is set in a dark green background with polished brass highlights and a polished brass pointer.
