Q: The greenfilm usa website states that this film is not safe for double pane windows. why?

After testing, this film is safe to use on double pane windows as long as it's not Low-E glass. If you have any questions on how to determine if your window has Low-E glass or not, here's the quick guide. Quick Guide: - Place lighter or laser close against the glass and look at the 4 reflections of the light. - If 1 of the 4 reflections are a slightly different color, this indicates the presence of Low E glass. - If all the reflections are the same color, you do not have Low E glass.

Q: is this film live plant friendly, and does it actually block out heat to help cool a house/room?

It does alright to cool down a room, more than anything it blocks some of the UV rays from coming in, but keeps the room bright.

Q: To manufacturer - in 2019, you answered that in a few months your product would be uv400. is that the current generation of product - or still uv380?

I sent the product back ....I couldn't use is on my glass doors the door manufacture didn't recommend using it . It could have ruined my glass

Q: Will this let in sufficient light for my plants?

Yes it will. Room is practically as bright without the film. The biggest difference is it no longer becomes unbearably hot anymore.
