The Perfect Solution
The clips hold tightly.The tie cord is longer than I expected but not a problem. Probably longer to got more than one size poolSo far they seem very sturdy

They work
I used 4 clips last year for my 24ft round pool. They worked great. Only once when severe thunderstorms rolled through did they fail. I bought extra clips this year. Plan on using 4 clips regularly and 8 clips whenever sever weather is forecast.

broken clips
The concept of the clips with elastic bungee like rope works rather well. the problem is the pastic part with the little hole to put the metal part in to allow it to snap clip is weak. Bought 3 pkgs for a total of 12 clips. 2 out of the 12 were broken in the package. Yesterday another one broke. All in the same spot. Would not by again. For the price vs. the quality, they're are not worth it.

Break during hogh winds
Good consept however so cheaply made the clips break right off during a high wind.

Pool cover clips are not as durable as I hoped
Two of the four clips broke within a few uses where the spring holds the two halves together. I was surprised that they would break so easily, especially at this price. I think the manufacturer should try to redesign the holes on each side of the clip where the spring is inserted. Maybe the holes should be made out of stainless steel, like the spring, rather than molded plastic. This change would greatly improve the strength of the clip. Then the price would be more reasonable since the clip would probably not break as easily as it does right now.

Better than not having
Had to learn the fold the cover edges for the clip to stay on, and it still slips some in heavy gusts that are prolonged, but much better than nothing.

great buy
Better then expected... We have a above ground pool and live in the country where it is always windy. I was worried about the solar cover staying in place these clips have done the trick! We even use them when we are in the pool and want to keep the cover to the side out of the way. Would definitely buy again
