Pay for more than what you get
I've tried a few different edible spoons, they're kinda neat as a novelty item or just to switch up stuff a bit. So, how do these compare to others?Flavor - Bland. You can equate them to a unsweet fortune cookie, for the most part. They are still not the worst I've tried, but they are FAR from the best. At least they do have some minimal amount of flavor. Overall, I'd give flavor a 2/5Price/Quality - For what you get, these are EXPENSIVE. It does not help that the pack of 50 I got was shorted by 6 spoons. When you're paying 40 dollars for 50, getting shorted by six ends up adding up to a considerable sum. They do this on 100 packs of them, they've made some good money. Didn't help that another 11 of them were broken. Price is awful for what you get, I'd rate it 1/5.Viability/Durability - For cold foods, fruits, and just for making dishes look nice, these are great! If you intend to eat warm/hot soup with them, you're better off looking elsewhere. Tried 10 different tests with standard Tomato Basil soup, 5 at 'boiling' temperature, and 5 at 'hot' temperature. They lasted, roughly, 4 minutes in boiling, and about 7 minutes in hot before they started to become flimsy and fall apart. They did not absorb the flavor of the soup very well, but there was a mild hint of it, which was pretty nice! For sprucing up a dish with something fancy-looking, as long as it's room-temp or cold food, I'd easily rate these a 4/5. For hot soups and the like, 2/5.Overall - 2/5You can find much higher quality spoons with FAR superior flavor on Etsy, and my favorites are still from there. These are simply too expensive for the quality and lack of flavor, when you can get a 100 count of much more sturdy, seasoned spoons off Etsy for the exact same price. Do I recommend these? No. You can do better than this.

Bocado Edible Spoon: Great Idea, Could Use a Tiny Tweak
As someone who is deeply concerned about the volume of plastic utensils we throw away each day, I was very excited about the development of an edible spoon. I ordered a set from Bocado, as the Bakey's Spoon from India is not available in the US. I found that the spoon was strong enough to hold hot soup, but not strong enough to last for the duration of a medium-sized bowl. Handle broke about half-way through, but the spoon was still usable. Then, the tip of the spoon got mushy and provided an unpleasant tactile experience. I broke off the mushy part, and was able to finish my bowl of soup with what remained of the spoon. As a finale', I ate the remains of the spoon, which tastes a little like a flavorless fortune cookie. Despite these challenges, I would still use this over a plastic utensil for the sake of our planet! I am introducing it to friends.

Yummy
Awesome product. They taste kind of like Melba toast mixed and pita chips.

Needs more distinct flavors
Too bland. Needs to have different distinct flavors for different applications. Sweet, vanilla for desert. Some herbs and spices for savory.

Good but has a hard crunch
I wouldn’t use this product for a delicate appetizer, but for something substantial it would work. The spoons have a hearty crunch to them.
