Q: What is the best stencil brush to use with this ?

I just used it directly from the bottle. Writes very nicely and able to make nice clean lines . No other brushes needed.

Q: I want to use this on a foam bead mat. I'm confused by some of the comments here. Will this puff up on its own to create raised lines?

I would guess that you would need 2 tubes. Dont know what size your sleeves are. Suggest you read mfg product details.
