These are discs that fit into a specific kind of damp rid container. You can also buy crystal refills if you have that type of container.

Q: How long does each tab last?

I have one in my a/c handler closet in the garage with daily 70 to 90 per cent humidity last one month. In the house in closet about three months.

I was mistakenly sent the "fresh scent" refills in July. I assumed they were scent free since that's what I ordered. When I opened my first one recently, I was overwhelmed by a scent I can only describe as "skunky." I honestly could not sleep with it in my room. The discs themselves have brown spots on them. Unfortunately, it was too late to return them. I NEVER noticed a scent with the "fragrance free" ones.
