No version of the PS4(Original, Slim or Pro) have the ability to play 4K Blu-rays. All versions DO support standard Blu-ray Discs and DVDs. FYI: 4K Blu-rays come in a black box that say “UHD 4K Blu-ray” on top while standard Blu-rays come in a blue box that just say “Blu-ray Disc” on top.

Q: Does do console come by its self or with cables and controller..?

Yes it comes with 1 controller, power and hdmi cables. Plus ear bud.

Q: do i have to have this online when i first hook it up?

No ya don't need dl to have it on line to play. only games that say online required a lot of updates are done from disk so no internet. and only if ya playing on line does it require you to to hook I up to the internet. If ya don't play on line or use online facilities then it isn't requi
