I hand address some of my business shipments that go out in envelopes as well as using printed labels. I use Scotch Band Magic Tape to protect the addresses from moisture which could prevent delivery if they get smudged by water to the point they can't be read by the postal service. This tape costs more than the cheap brands but it is truly worth it. It really holds up and sticks well. I wouldn't go back to anything else.

We use lots of tape at work so I try to find cheaper options to save a bit of money but those cheap options always disappoint. Hands-down the best option for scotch tape out there. Always comes off the roll nicely, doesn’t break or leave gummy residue.

These are what I needed. Opaque enough that I can see the tape on bubble wrap so it can be removed easily. Transparent enough that you can read letters on a package if the tape covers them.The only problem I've encountered is the tape is very thin and can rip when being pulled from the dispenser requiring the tape be removed from the dispenser to manually locate the severed end (which can usually only be found by touch) and then reinstalled in the dispenser.
