Good Epoxy and Price
I am not an epoxy connoisseur, but I have purchased a regular 5:1 kit, and a 3:1 Crystal Clear kit, plus an extra 5:1 fast hardener. I have used the regular 5:1 epoxy for potting parts, filler, and laying up carbon fiber with the Crystal Clear. The pumps the kits include are quite accurate, but I prefer to weigh the ratios. I have had no problems with it all. It sands well for finishing. I will be buying more resin soon. In retrospect, I should have bought a gallon of resin and then a smaller assortment of the hardeners I needed.

Works Great!
I have bought this item a few times and it definitely quickens up my resin curing more time. All you need is a couple of drops added with A and in no time flat the item will be hard as a rock.

Temperature and humidity make all the difference
Great stuff. I used slow hardener throughout most of my project. Working mostly at night outdoors I had to use heat lamps when the temps dropped below 65 degrees. In the day and sunshine the slow hardener set up almost as fast as the fast hardener working out of the sunshine.Temperature and humidity makes the biggest difference. Follow the measurements as close as possible and buy an extra bottle of hardener or two. Pushing the bubbles to the edges and dabbing everything flat while you wait for the epoxy to dry will drive you nuts and you will eventually eyeball things and use more hardener than necessary. The bigger the project… the more hardener you should buy.And if you’ve done your homework you’ve probably read that you cannot use polyester resin over the top of epoxy which means you can’t use gel coat over the top of epoxy.I used total boat’s gel coat with wax over the top of this and it is solid. No delaminating. Even drilling holes into it it didn’t flake off. So…YES, you can use their gel coat over this. Also…Long and short haired fiberglass filled polyester body filler sticks to it also… which is what I recommend if you need to level any seams in your floor or bevel the edges of the floor where it meets the sides of your boat. Then run another layer of thin glass over the top of the filler.

Works great!!
Works great!!! When I order the resin your add was a little misleading (my fault). Only the resin showed up, no hardener. So i had to place another order for hardener and pumps. Now I have two pumps for resin. Because hardener didn’t come with pumps.

Not as much as it says. AT ALL.
I had to buy extra hardener because the gallon I bought the hardener ran out WAAAAY before the resin. Well I bought a quart kit AND a hardener and as you can see in the pic the amounts are way off! Bothate still sealed yet thei are different amounts. This explains why I ran out the 1st time!!!! This stuff isn't cheap and I don't think I will be buying this again if this is how they do business.

Alert, Only does Total Mix for One quart
This is not the deal for a decent size project. I needed it for some quick fix minor repairs, and did need a smaller amount, so it was just OK for that. However it is not cost effective for any real or continuing projects. Fast setting larger kits are the way to go, rather than individual small packages. Next time I will play this a lot smarter and get more total product for my bucks. Epoxy is a petro product, all that is more $$ now.
