Great printer, reasonable price.
Hands down, the most reliable printer I've ever purchased, and I've purchased quite a few.Honestly, I can't recommend it enough. Is it 100% 'no heartburn?' No, it gives me some static every once in a while, but overall, it beats the HP, brother, epson, and the others without issue.

Good printer, and not like any use owned in the past.
Okay, so this wasn't hard to set up, but you do need to follow the instructions. This isn't a printer you can just plug in and start printing. I've noticed a lot of bad reviews because some people can't figure out why the printer can't detect the paper you've loaded, but there’s a reason.if you're getting the load paper message, even though you've loaded paper into the tray, and can't figure out why, it's because the paper tray pulls out so you can load paper in it, but it can also tell if you didn't push the tray back into the printer. The printer has a sensor just for the tray. It cannot reach the paper unless you push the tray back in, giving you the load paper message.Beyond that, everything works fine with the printer. Wifi for the printer took a little thinking, but not too hard. Print quality is average, but that's expected for a low priced printer. It is kind of loud, but it's a printer. What did anyone expect? It's not going to be quiet.

Doesn’t tell when color ink is low. Both must have ink
Didn’t indicate color cartridge which I never use was low. Kept buying black and it wouldn’t print. I thought the black ink was damaged, smh.

Let's Be Honest.
You're not here looking at this printer because you have some special job/ purpose. You need to get whats on your screen onto some paper so you can turn it over to an Employer, Teacher, or Government entity. Well congratulations you've found it. This is the printer that checks the box, it prints color just fine, black and white too. If you need an emergency photo on glossy paper it'll do and no one outside of the photography business will be any the wiser.Want to know why I'm here? I'm here because Epson will not print black and white when the Cyan cartridge is empty. I found this printer for $50. Not sure what it is for the endearing reader of this review but you can be assured I was not about to spend that exact amount to refill my Black+Color Epson ink cartridges.Although I cannot yet speak as to whether the printer will print in black and white with a depleted color cartridge. I have had cannon printers in the past that have. Even being able to print my documents in color ink when black ran out in a pinch. I'll keep you informed on that when the time comes. So let's boil it down. Yes, it works and it works well for your College students and Households NOT Offices (if you want an Office printer get any Laser Printer and you'll be fine.) It's not fast, it gets the job done well, easily, and reliably.

2 faulty printers, but Canon will not refund out money. BUY SOMETHING ELSE!
Our HP Printer just died after about 10 years, and we thought Canon was a trustworthy brand for a printer/copier. We regularly print a decent amount of documents and some pictures, so we thought this Pixma TR 4520 would be a decent printer for our home. IT'S A PIECE OF JUNK!!! Set-up was easy enough and it worked fine for simple printing, it just takes FOREVER to print a single page.About a month after we bought it (of course right outside the return window), we tried to print a document and found that the double-sided function doesn't work. The details said it prints double-sided. We triple-checked all of the settings. It printed the first side, allowed for drying time, then pulled the paper back in to print the back side. Except it didn't. It spit the paper right back out, then ran back and forth like it's printing, but only after it feeds the paper out. We did every troubleshooting possible. We called Canon and after going through the exact same troubleshooting we did, they determined the printer was faulty. We were issued a replacement and returned the faulty printer. Then about a month after we got the replacement (which had a 14-day return window), the wireless connection stopped working. It would NOT print from our home computer or phones. We went through every troubleshooting step, then called Canon again. We were on the phone for 1 hour and 13 minutes. Tech Support finally had to talk us through going around a back-door way to connect the printer to the wireless internet.Customer service will NOT issue a refund, even though they have sent us 2 faulty printers. WE WILL NEVER BUY CANON AGAIN!!!!

Class Act for General Duty - Print/Scan
Had to scramble to put together a work from home office. This copier had all the features I needed and the price was too good to ignore. Set up two laptops via Wi-Fi, my personal was a breeze my work issued caused me a little grief. Once set up printer worked great, no complaints on print quality, and scanning capability. Certainly not speedy but I have been able to conduct business from home without skipping a beat. Of course the pay back comes with ink. Canon OEM ink costs about $52 for the XL black & color cartridge combo with XL = "extra life/more prints" chances are you will use black in 2 to 1.Another small quirk is ink level indicator warns you way too soon, there is alot more ink when the (!) Symbols comes on, just keep printing until the pages show incomplete prints.I will add I did not connect this to use FAX (if people still do that) and I know this is key but I haven't printed photos, strictly office use. But I see no reason this printer wouldn't excel at that.Overall based on my light duty needs I'm very satisfied with this copier. If you trust a quality "refill" ink brand you can save a few dollar's in ink. Good bang for the buck.
