Bought in tandem with the log carrier. Very substantial and reflects a lot of heat into the room. Very happy with this purchase.

I put this into a gas fireplace in the family room. This fireplace has been more decorative that functional. It never really put out much heat. So, I hoped that I would get some more heat, not just looks.For about the first 15 minutes, there is no discernible difference in heat output. After about 15 minutes, you can start to notice more heat than usual and by 30 minutes later, there is a very noticeable increase in heat output. It is not a huge change, but definitely noticeable.If you are looking at this for decoration, it is not particularly note worthy. It is just a 1/2" steel plate with a fine finish. In the fireplace behind the logs, who cares. The feet were nice, but unnecessary as I leaned against the back wall and pinned it with the log grate.Nice product, does what it says it will do, and was easy to put in place. What else do you want?

One huge chunk of steelThe legs are designed to go with the "Great wall of Fire" grate, but woks fine with other heavy grates as well.just don't expect the small protrusions to make the reflector free standing, because it won't.Yes its pricey, but it will last a lifetime and then some.It does reflect heat, but don't expect too much.

Great Wall of Fire Reflective Fireback works wonders. It's totally protecting our masonry while reflecting back heat. I know some reviews stated they felt no difference, but we experienced a lot more heat. It is sturdy, high quality, and arrived quickly. I had a question for the manufacturer before ordering, and they answered immediately. 5 out of 5 stars for our family on this item :)

Measure carefully, first and foremost! This is a very heavy, high quality item and we have been super impressed with it. Prepare yourself for how heavy this is! Once it’s in place, leave it there!We use ours behind one of this sellers large open fronted grates (both 26”). This is a next level fireplace set up. We are constantly complimented on our set up and it looks fantastic.Secondly, I was blown away by this company’s customer service. I have absolute confidence that should you ever an issue you will be treated very well and in a timely manner. Our shipping was also much faster than we were expecting. It was basically Prime speed. Can not recommend this highly enough, don’t hesitate if you’re thinking of getting this combination of Grate Wall of Fire products.

I ordered an RF-6 Reflective fireback and it has severely warped after a few seasons. This ended up busting my back refractory panel, which isn't produced anymore and no one makes replacements. I've tried calling the company (Grate Wall of Fire) several times throughout the week and the phone is never answered (at the end of ringing goes to fax machine). I cannot submit a message to them on their website as the "verification" tool always says I entered the word wrong, which I didn't. They don't have an email address on their website. I sent them a message on Amazon to request help, but no response. I spent a lot of money on this item and simply want to speak to someone to make this right, but there's no way to contact them! Hopefully this review saves someone from making the same mistake I did.**Update: seller responded via Amazon offering a discount on a ¾” fireback for my specific situation. assuring me it would not warp due to the thicker steel. Upgrading to 3-stars because they responded with a reasonable solution after 3.5 years.
