Training for Colorado Spartan
I wore this on the hardest setting around the house while watching my toddler and doing random chores (running up and down stairs between levels of house) and it wasn't hard to breath in at all. I thought "man, this mask ain't sheet. I hope I didn't waste my money" I finally got the courage to wear it at the gym and holy crap I almost died! I highly recommend the twist valves. I didn't even have it on the hardest setting and I was on the treadmill with the incline at 15 then the speed about 4.7 when I had to open some of the holes. It takes some getting used to but once I got my breathing down I went a little faster but that was a big mistake. I started to take quick short breathes, had to open all holes but still wasn't enough air. At this point I started to panic a little bc I couldn't get my breathing back on track then I couldn't easily grab the velcro to remove the mask while running (this was a me thing not a product issue) so I started to breathe harder and the treadmill on a 15 incline restricted me from just jumping on the sides to stop running and focus on the mask. I was able to pry the bottom of the mask up and off my face to catch my breath. I have used it several more times since then and haven't had any issues. I can actually feel my lungs still expanded for a while after using. I gave 4 stars bc the head strap is tight. I am 5'2 110lb female and ordered the small. The suction is tight and it does hurt the bridge of nose if not sitting correctly.

Fit good. Know before using
1 If your running with a altitude mask learn how to breath probably first theres plenty of videos on YouTube with breathing techniques2 know when to quit if your getting light headed stop3 start with a low level when I started I took out the filters completely and just put the caps on once you get used to using it put it back

Wonderful would buy again
Absolutely love it. My husband had been wanting one for a while. And he started training for swat medic so I purchased this training mask to help improve his overall performance. In a few weeks. He took time off his mile run which is mostly what we used it for. He wears it to run and during our crossfit workouts. He loves it. Every once in a while I'll get to use it if he's not around. I do use the head band. If I don't it will slide down too far where I have a smaller face and bone structure than my husband does. Would definitely buy another for myself in the future. Highly recommend getting a training mask if your looking to improve overall performance. Makes your lungs and diaphragm work harder in order to get the oxygen your body needs to work.

Works as intended
Works as it's intended. Fitment may seem tricky until you take a second look at how the extra strap works. Has a pretty strong neoprene smell so far. Time will tell if it wears off.

Well made - quality for money
This works, I live at sea level and went to Idaho and climbed to 10,500', I don't want to say I was 100% but this mask surely helped, it fit snug and had many options for elevation... loved it!

Has a few issues but overall glad I bought it!
It does put a lot of pressure on the bridge of my nose. After a while of wearing it I get used to it and forget about it, so it’s not too bad.If you have a beard, be aware there’s limitations with this mask! I have to essentially block all airflow to the mask to get a really strong negative lung pressure. It ends up working pretty well, but I imagine it works better without a beard.Only real complaint I have is that it doesn’t really strap great behind the head and it ends up pulling on my ears. Makes it tough to wear ear buds. But all in all, it’s doing the exact job I need it to do, so I’m still using it constantly!

Great training tool
Great training tool. I use it to get ready to run in a gas mask and it’s very similar.
