Great level - GREAT PRICE!
I took a chance on this very inexpensive level and was super impressed when it arrived. As some have described, it arrived in a box with no padding -- rattling around in the box. But it seems to be a tough tool, well made and easy to use and read. This is the first level I've had with a window on the top side, and I was surprised how useful that is. It makes it easier to read when looking down at it. It really seems to be a good, solid level and well made. I can't believe it's so inexpensive. It's a great value!!

3 feet of goodness
This is a very solid level. Have an 8" level, a 24" level and a 48" level - but I needed something in between the 2 foot and 4 foot ones. This one fits the bill. Sturdy aluminum, solid I-beam, black (seems to make reading the 'bubble' easier). All at a decent price.

Great level
Great level. I needed a longer one for putting up shelves.

Almost as good as a box beam for half the price
I bought this primarily for a cutting guide for my circular saw. The I-beam doesn't have machined edges but it is really straight. Any error in my cuts won't be from the level.I checked its level viles for accuracy and couldn't find any errors in any direction. I was expecting some error in at least one since it was so cheap, but I was happily surprised. The protective end caps are just plastic not rubber like a typical box beam, and box beams tend to be stronger. Also the level is 96" including the end caps. I was expecting the I-beam to be about 1/4" longer but that isn't a deal breaker. Overall I am pleased. If I take care of it, I expect it will last me a lifetime.

perfectly straight and accurate, made in USA
A good level for the price, and made in USA. Mine is perfectly straight and accurate, so it was made well and suffered no shipping damage. It is pretty lightweight, so it might bend or kink if dropped harshly. But then again lightweight is a good thing also if you work with it all day long. I would like to say that the edges in the hand grip cutouts are very sharp and might cut someone if they are not careful. I deburred mine and then finished the edges with fine sandpaper, so it is smooth now. It took about 10 minutes to do it, so no complaints. I would recommend this to a friend. Thanks for still making this in the USA!!

Made in America
This Johnson level has a beautiful fit and finish to it, with high quality leveling vials. It's heavy duty and should last many years. I highly recommend this 24" I-beam Level. If it matters, I've been a high-end Home building contractor for 25years.

A True 5 Star Level
I tested this level against accuracy and passed, It is very light weight and handles nicely. No flaws in its anodized workmanship, looks beautiful. The glass covering the bubble is probably acrylic plastic, but looks like glass because it's so clear. Nice bubble top view will come in handy, and appears to be magnified for sight ease. I love that since I have bad eyes and must wear glasses. Mine came with 3 tiny Paw like scratches on the very top, probably done by the shipper during processing or packaging. I'll let it slip because they are so tiny. I bought a 3 footer because I already have a 4 footer, and found that 36 inches is more all around useful. I'm very picky with my tools, to say the least, therefore my assessment is an honest one that fits my quality requirements. You can't wrong Johnson supplies replacement parts, like if you accidentally smashed your bubble cover.
