gets your head out of the clouds!
I've been painting for a long time and getting nowhere. Lost my mojo, and gave up. I did do some paintings that really pleased me, and others! But uncertainty, indecision and a tendency to be a perfectionist overcome my desire to paint - so all supplies were tearfully given away. Recently I returned to looking at art instruction books again and came across this one. Well! Right up my street, animals, slight abstraction, whimsy, and a dont be so hung up on perfectionism and have a blast attitude. Never knew i had this leaning before, but here it reared up and hit me. Got the book and look out everyone, I'm back in town! It's cheery, encouraging, and has started me off on a voyage of discovery. No rules, (as such) No,we don't do this and we don't do that or Turner, Hockney, etc. Just go for it kiddo! Paint all the animals you can source. Now I am looking at flowers, people, trees, fruit, EVERYTHING, with a beady eye again. LOVE IT! Its such a simple book, wouldn't have looked at it twice before, but it has saved my sanity.

Super book for kids or adults!
Couldn't recommend it enough, my kids and I have had hours of fun from it. It's perfect for adults like me too with no painting experience. It makes painting manageable when you lack talent!

Good Text Book
A good book for the beginner and intermediate artist. Laid out well and easy to read.

I DIDN'T RECEIVE ALL THE MATERIALS
The product description especify that:cartridge calligraphy pen,3 pen nibs, 10 ink cartridges,4 felt tip calligraphy pens, calligraphy paper, guideline sheet, artists triangle and practice paper pad.But I DIDN'T RECEIVE any of those, just the project book!They have sent another one after my complained about this and AGAIN DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY OF THOSE ADITIONALS MATERIALS.I am really FRUSTRATED. I was expecting one thing but I received something completed different (TWICE)The price DOESN'T worth for the project book only.Also there is golden retriever in the cover but he IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE PROJECT BOOK!The book is ok but the steps are NOT so specific.
