Metal clips hidden within layers of the U-shaped rubbery plastic channel gripped my car door edge very firmly. I pushed it on by hand and then used a short scrap piece of 2x4 to firmly rap in all the way on. Then just to be sure it was on all the way and evenly, I laid the narrow edge of the 2x4 across the edge of the installed door protector and GENTLY rapped the 2x4 with a hammer, working my way along to make sure it was fully and evenly installed on all four car doors. Start to finish, the whole project took less than 20 minutes. And it looks like it was installed at the factory. Because of the sping clips within the black plastic, the installed door protector holds onto the car doors very firmly. After applying this door edge protector to all four doors of a 2025 Chevy Trailblazer, I had about 1/3 of the door edge material left over, so one package of the stuff should be enought for full-sized vehicles with four doors.

As you can see worked perfectly in the 1st photo it is before putting the item in and the 2nd photo after putting the item in, it was very easy to install. I loved how it looks.The size was perfect I put it on both doors and I still have it.The material is good.

Was ecstatic on receiving this to install. Kept dinging door with side fence scratching door & paint. Highly recommend. Crazy how accurate & exact the length is. Exceptional quality. I ordered two just in case and one alone covered the four doors and trunk edge. Soon as I finished with the doors, the remaining length was exact for the trunk. Will be gifting the other one for sure.See attached picture, on a VW Atlas.Got black and blends right in to the pure gray color. Extremely happy with purchase and ease of use. The package brings a pamphlet with QR of someone installing it, took me 15 minutes tops to install. I used a small piece of wood to tap on, video shows a rubber mallet - use what you have on hand that you know you want slam on to damage.

So far I've had this for 6 months & in that time the few times that I have bumped my door on anything there has been no damage or marks. I really like this product & it looks good on my car. (No pic as my car needs a wash & I work to much to wash it just yet sorry).

I didn’t use this for my car. I purchased a CAP dumbbell rack a while back, which I am happy with, but the metal edges were scratching my dumbbells and kettlebells. This product fit the edges perfectly, was easy to install, and blends in perfectly! It keeps my equipment from further scratching/chipping. Just what I was looking for.

Bought these for my 2021 Ram 1500 Laramie Crew Cab. I bought the 32’ roll. I put these on just the edge of the doors (not underneath) as I didn’t want water to find it’s way in and puddle. Used my small rubber mallet and a small pair of needle nose pliers for the metal clips, and a pair of tin snips.. Easy Peezy! Best of all I’ve got enough left for my wife’s Jeep! Great price and good quality. Definitely recommend!

Better than expected worked great for the edges of my tool box to make a tight water and air tight seal for this

EDIT: I am updating this to 3 stars as proceed with caution. The seller was responsive and met me halfway to address the damage to my car doors. I would consider this more of a permanent addition if you have a car with thinner paint like Hyundai/Kia. I also applied it to my wife’s 2019 Mazda 3 and removed it to clean and there was no damage to the clear coat or paint. Overall it seems to come down to how your factory paint is done and if you ever plan to remove it in the future for more than cleaning.Original Review: If I could go back and never put this on my car I would. Put on a brand new Elantra N to “protect” the doors and it ended up causing more damage in a single week than any chip could. I am now looking at over $500 of correction which on a brand new car. I would have been better off just leaving it be or putting PPF. STAY AWAY IF YOUR CAR IS NEW. I’ve emailed the company and waiting for a response and will update this when I get an email back. My car got very dirty yesterday and I removed these to do a proper clean and wax and found that it completely screwed the clear coat, causing lumps. Look at the photos below if you need proof.
