Awesome Speakers!
These speakers are awesome. They sound great and have knobs to tune the sound based on the space you are in among other adjustments. They fit perfectly in the space I had for them.

Pair these with a sub, and you will be in audio-heaven.
I am very satisfied with my purchase and would recommend these to anyone looking for nearfield monitors. You must be in the sweet spot to fully get the sonic benefit from these, meaning that you must be no more than 6 feet away and the placement arranged properly in the equilateral triangle type setup at ear level. The active eq controls on the back make it easy for you to tweek them to your acoustic environment, a feature not found in any speaker in this price range. Presence and imaging are impressive also, as is the build quality. If you have children, these do not have grills on the speakers, so be advised. If you want a full bottom end, I recommend a powered sub woofer from Parts Express, made by Dayton, with a 10 inch woofer, item sub-1000, priced around 100 bucks. You will be truly impressed with the combination of both, and you will not break the bank doing so. I have a 5.1 Klipsch surround system, and this small setup is every bit as enjoyable, and I can listen at low volume late at night without bothering anyone. I have been in the audio biz for most of my life, sound engineer, and also musician, for what it's worth.

Sound great--especially for the price!
We ordered these as a gift for our daughter to go with her new turntable. I was a little worried since I couldn't listen to them before buying and wrapping for Christmas. They sound great! We like they they don't "enhance" the sound. It is very clear and crisp. There is plenty of bass, although we don't go for the amount of bass you can feel. I'd definitely buy more!
