Quality product, easy installation
I purchased these pickups for my Peavey Grind NTB five string because I've had good luck with the EMG direct replacement pickups I purchased for my Jazz Bass years ago. The EMG-40DCs did not disappoint. They produce clear, punchy tone and installing them was simple and required no soldering. I've used them with the included passive controls and an EMG preamp. While I recommend using a preamp, the pickups sounded very good with the passive controls (though with much lower output).I'm 100% satisfied with this product and will be installing them in two more basses which have the same size pickup cavity.

Used these in my Spector Rebob 5 replacing the EMG HZ passive pickups that came with the bass. The sound has been completely transformed. Lots of booooming low end and snap at the top. Easy to install with the solderless connection and matching EMG preamp. Perfect upgrade for the Spector. Good price and speedy delivery as is the norm on Amazon. Great deal
