DWE6000 4.5-Amp Variable Speed 1/4-Inch Laminate Trimmer

Outstanding balance, power, control. Relatively quiet. I am not fond of the depth control, but that is a personal preference. It is easy to adjust the depth and is intuitive.

This laminate trimmer is perfect for my needs. This unit allow for comfortable, single-handed control. It has a heavy duty plastic fixed base that allows you to see your work, along with extra large locking clips that allow for a quick motor release. An attached depth ring enables quick and accurate bit height adjustments, and the spindle lock button allows for single-wrench bit changes.

While the router worked great, Dewalt customer service is even better. The router base (plastic piece) broke 6 days after it was delivered, but Dewalt, with no questions asked, sent out a replacement part immediately. Even with the minor hiccup, I am truly happy with the router and recommend it knowing that Dewalt stands behind their products 100%. You may pay a little more for a Dewalt vs. a cheaper model, but I don't think you will find better customer service if something inadvertently breaks. From now on, I will always choose the Dewalt!

I have a friend who is a professional finish carpenter who uses this particular model (older version) and swears by it.. needed a smaller hand held router/trimmer to do smaller projects and mortising some doors..it's light weight and clear base plate made it good to work with...i'm a little worried about the plastic locking clip it seems a flimsy and could possibly break that's the reason for 4 stars..but for the price you could not go wrong..so far i'm very happy with it and I have a Porter Cable 690 that i have on a benchtop router table for larger work pieces.

Very handy tool and easy to use one handed.

The plastic base snapped on my first one after 30 mins of use. When adjusting the depth, you have to unlatch the base and spin the adjustment to your desired height, then when you latch the clamp to hold the adjustment in place, the plastic base cracks and breaks off from the minimal force applied when using the clamp normally. I setup a replacement through Amazon and received the new one the very next day. After installing the new router bit and then VERY CAREFULLY adjusting the depth and clamping the latch shut, THE PLASTIC BASE BROKE AGAIN. I am going to call DeWalt to have them send me another replacement base like other comments had suggested and then I'm selling this thing. The plastic base isn't strong enough to support the clamping process of using the latch. This is a design flaw due to the weak plastic material. The base should have been metal in this area.

Love it, easy to handle, take 1/4" bits, plenty of power, lets you get right up to edge of work, easy to see the edges so you can see what your cutting, Much easier than using a conventional router for laminate work, anyone doing laminate work needs this tool. Only feature I wish it has is variable speed, Oh well can't have everything for a $ this price range

This is an excellent tool. The grip is ergonomic and the tool is well-balanced. I have only used it with 1/4" round over bits but the cut is smooth and the tool is quiet and has very little vibration. The light and great cut visibility is appreciated. I do wish that one could easily mount an accessory base plate however.

It is compatible with a standard DeWalt 18v battery. Easy to handle when used. I am still learning techniques to get the most from it with the tools provided with the purchase

I don’t understand why would you sell a machine that would not fit the plugs in KSA? I had to return it back even the voltage is 110.

I've ordered this router it should be made clear that it is not suitable for use in the UK as we have 240v system, I've have had to return it wich is a waste of time for all .
