Firstly, you'll find these are actually clumps of many, many leaves tied together in a large ball, rather than one stem with multiple leaves rolled into 'pearls'. As a result, they do not infuse as well and need to be steeped longer (you can't really use a gaiwan). The flavor itself is humdrum compared to other dian hongs I've had (a lot), there's just a lot missing from it (even after adjusting for volume and steeping). I got about 15 or 16 balls, so the overall issue is that since the tea doesn't produce a strong or flavorful brew, you're not getting your money's worth. That's 15-16 full cups of 'OK' tea for the price... Not recommended.

Very good in its own right but does not match the body or flavor of Teavana's Black Dragon Pearls.

A strong and full bodied tea

This is the best tea I have had in quite sometime. I buy tea from all over the world and this competes with the best!

One of the best teas I have had, very good iced.

Nice enough tea, but the price must be due to the manufacturing costs of producing the pearls. I wouldn't dream of buying any again - I'll stick to the "un-pearled" excellent teas from the same area that cost a fraction of the price.
