Good Housekeeping Cookbook: 1,200 Triple-Tested Recipes

This is an outstanding cookbook for beginning or advanced cooks looking to jazz things up a little. The format is divided into color-coded sections, clearly marked and annotated. Excellent photography accompanies nearly every recipe and the hardbound binding allows the cookbook to open to any page and stay open!Directions are clear and easy to follow. So glad I purchased it!

This edition of GoodHousekeeping Cookbook falls far short of my expectations. I have a Good Housekeeping Cookbook I bought in 1993. That cookbook has been such a treasure because it explained in pictures the process of preparing the food with a very good index at the end of the book.. This edition(2018) is lacking such picturesque descriptions in so many cases & the index is very confusing& difficult to use! Very few pictures and as far as I'm concerned, it is more like a textbook than a cook book to enjoy in food/baking preps. This editions falls short in many ways.I hope they redo this with more pictures and better organized index.

This is the encyclopedia for cooking. It is the primary source for anyone just learning or needing a recipe. It has been this way for decades. It will remain the standard for years to come

As with all of my other Good Housekeeping purchases, this book will serve me well for many years. It is beautifully put together and just the sheer size indicates the amazing finds. I was totally unprepared for the size and am totally delighted with the contents. For me, this was a great purchase.

This cookbook is a great reference piece. The pictures are beautiful too. It's really helped me to new recipes that are too "basic/simple" for the more professional chef cookbooks.

My daughter checked this book out from the library. We loved the recipes so much she checked it out again. The recipes are clear and easy to follow. Lots of cooking tips. Many good basic recipes that you can vary and or build on.

I learned cooking from the "good Housekeeping Cookbook", I gave following edition to my daughter, who loved itequally, and now the one I had ordered to my oldest grandchild, .

Warning - this book is American.Weights and measures in “cups” etc. One section talks about the perfect diet for healthy Americans. Not many pictures of the finished dishes.Apart from that it seems to be a good, all round, cookbook
