The media could not be loaded. I bought this to help my older parents raise the roof of their off-road travel trailer. It's not too heavy and is very powerful (400lbs lifting capacity, I couldn't slow it down). This weight capacity was overkill for what they needed, but the length and the faster speed than lighter weight versions made it the overall best choice. I cut off the power connector that came with the actuators, so I could directly wire it to a 12v cigarette lighter, and added the base and roof plates, along with the box with a momentary switch. Works great and not too heavy.

Works great as a replacement for an APOLLO swing-gate opener. Easily opens and closes a 16' tubular steel ranch gate 90 degrees. The operation is a little slower thank I'd like, but I can live with that. Due to the geometry of my application OPEN/CLOSE is controlled by the internal limit switches and I don't need the Hall Effect feature.

I would buy this item again if I could be sure someone could read my order and send the correct thing

The media could not be loaded. First of all the company customer service was great. I had a problem at first and they replaced the unit. I chose the unit based on load capability so it’s slow but I’m ok with that. I have not loaded to capacity yet but I think it will be fine for my needs. I did read one customer broke the unit because the load over came the unit. I added a safety cable to take the load when unit was extended. I will purchase again for the next project.

I used this to create a lift for my snowblower on my lawn tractor. It is very quiet compared to the first one I tested. Quite powerful as well. I wish it came with mounting brackets. I bought a smaller unit for $34 that came with the brackets. This one was nearly $200 and didn't come with brackets. Otherwise, it was easy to set up and does the job very well.

I purchased the 400# with a 6" stroke to raise and lower a snowblower on a tractor. It worked great but it only lasted 2 residential snow seasons due to water intrusion destroying the unit. It stays inside during winter and sits outside in the summer. I only gave it 3 stars due to this as it is advertised to operate in marine environments. It performs well and others may be more waterproof but not sure.
